This is a great must-have appliance in your kitchen. The black/stainless steel color perfectly matches my kitchen's theme color. We drink a lot of tea and hot beverages, it brings super convenience to our family. The water temp is right. And the outside body of the pot and wire are not hot as some comments mentioned before. Make sure to use filter water to avoid build up. We strongly recommend this product.

This product had literally saved my life. My tea pot recently almost set my apartment on fire. Having hot water available for tea without burning the house down is wonderful. The coffee brews quickly and tastes great. It makes tea, hot chocolate and so much more!!

I recieved the coffee pot in 2 days. Very happy for fast service. But the lid that pulls up to pour the water in came broken. I have very little time to return it. I take care of my dad 24/7. Thats why I shop with you. I also ordered a mattress pad, which I guess will be here tomorrow or the next day.My coffee pot stopped working , so had no choice to keep it. Love shopping with you . Thank you. If possible can I get a new lid ? Policy would be return it for a new one , but like I said Im home bound with my sick dad. I be willing to purchase the lid. Thanks for your great services. Denise N*****.

My husband loves this coffeemaker. I do not drink coffee but I do drink hot chocolate. So having piping hot water along with fresh brewed coffee could not be more perfect!

I like most of the features of this coffee maker. It makes a great-tasting cup of coffee, with only minimal effort once you get it set up. What I don't like as much about this is that it is a bit difficult to clean. If you don't clean it weekly with daily use, the coffee begins to taste a bit off and weakens in flavor. The machine will also brew clear water with no coffee if it gets clogged. The stainless pot is very difficult to open and close, and a lot of times I have to ask my husband or one of my sons to open it on my behalf. You also cannot see if you are brewing coffee or water, due to the opaqueness of the pot, which can be inconvenient. I do like the fact that the carafe keeps the coffee hot for many hours, unlike a traditional glass carafe. I have always owned this brand of coffee maker, always grind-and-brew, and would not purchase any other coffee maker. Overall, I am happy with my purchase, and the fact that my coffee maker arrived in a short period of time. Will purchase again from Overstock.com.

I had my last Bunn coffee brewer for over 10 years. It is worth every penny and is incredibly fast when brewing (approx. 5 mins.) It holds an extra pot if water (already heated in the back so that each and every pot brews quickly. The coffee also stays extremely perfect when sitting in the pot for over an hour. You just can't beat it with any other coffee pot!

This is my 3rd SPT Hot Water Dispenser that I have purchased in several years. The first one was too small for my needs and I gave it to a friend. The 2nd one has just been fabulous. The one I am purchasing today is for some friends in Minnesota that have a long snowy winters and they loved mine so I am sending this one. I do put filtered or spring bottled water in the reservoir. Be nice to your dispenser and it will be nice to you!

Great little pot - I use it at work. It heats water to boiling in about a minute. It has a setting which keeps things warm to hot. I like the simplicity and efficiency of it. It is a little bit bigger than I need for my purposes at work and there isn't a setting to leave it in an 'off' position and still plugged in, so I plug and unplug to use. I don't mind that part even though it is less convenient. Overall, its a good value for the price and works well.

I love the style of the urn and the ease of using it. It is very convenient that it has a glass tube indicating how much water is remaining in the urn

I love this kettle! It heats the water fast and stays hot for a considerable amount of time. I so appreciate the automatic cut off. I even took it with me when I went out of town and had to stay in a hotel. I don't drink coffee and all their pots smell like coffee. The bottom does not get hot so it won't burn anything it you have to set it down on the counter. So glad I bought it!

We are coffee drinkers ...meaning we don't just make one pot in the morning, this is the only brand of coffee pot we buy because it stands up to constant use for years, this pot is no exception and we like the carbon filters, easy to clean and the hot water on demand is great for those hot chocolates or a cup of tea.

When this coffeemaker arrived I was a little upset. I thought I had purchased the Cuisinart Coffee On Demand Coffeemaker and that overstock.com sent me the wrong item. But after checking my online invoice, I saw that I had actually purchased this coffeemaker. Since I drink hot tea often and usually heat my water in a tea kettle even for one cup this was a perfect purchase. If you need hot water for tea, cocoa or even a cup of soup this is a great item, it heats the water very quickly as well as making a great cup of coffee. I am very glad I made the mistake in my purchase.

Every morning I would get up, turn on the Mr. Coffee coffee maker and wait up to 15 minutes for a cup of coffee. Not to mention, the hot plate would not keep the coffee in the pot hot. Now I get up, put a K-cup of Yuban in this Cuisinart and within 30 seconds I have a fresh hot cup of coffee. Can't get any easier than that.

After searching high and low, for a 'Mid range espresso machine', I finally pulled out the stops, on what I wanted to pay, and ordered this machine. I also purchased the Breville Perfect Grind Grinder, (For the same price, as the 'all in one', machine). I purchased both because, I didn't want to take the chance, of having one item on the machine break, rendering either part, unusable for any period of time, or having me pay extra for yet another item, that would need to be replaced. I quickly found out that, FRESH espresso beans, must be ground at the very moment of use....there must also be a certain fineness, to the grind. That being said, getting the precise grind, is the trick, but, it's well worth the patience when, you do find that sweet spot,,, it does pay off. And, it pays off BIG TIME! Just unpacking these machines, tell you that you bought from a company that has substance and quality in their eyesight. The portafilter alone, screams QUALITY! From the water filter that comes with the machine, (yes you must purchase more at some point, as well as cleaning tablets), but it also comes with a set of cleaning tools, a Tamper, a milk pitcher, a quick start guide (as well as a full on book of, how to's, to get the machine, up and running, the way you need it to). It has a huge holding tank, for water. And, Even though it uses a filter, I also use filtered water from my fridge, to fill the tank. *My ONLY 'complaint' was that the machine was purging water, at the start up and at the finish of pulling a shot. This was slightly annoying because, the holding tank at the bottom of the machine, would fill up faster, than I had hoped for (on a side note, when it gets filled too much, up pops a warning for you to "Empty Me" a GREAT idea, because I certainly know that I would forget to check it!). However, step in Brevill's top notch customer service, and they assured me that, the purging was normal ,(the book stated that only certain machines did this purge after a pull of a shot, and that mine was only supposed to purge after using the hot water dispenser - yes that is right - if you want espresso and the spouse wants tea, you can have both in a moments time! Anyway, they told me that after much looking into the problem in question, the Infuser indeeds purges because they want to make sure that you get clean fresh water, for each and every shot. No water stays in any of the tubing, and the machine will purge to make sure of this. If this means that I must empty the holder a bit more often, for better cleaner water for my morning Latte,,,then so be it. Onto the coffee! - This is the very first machine that I have used that actually tastes EXACTLY like a Starbucks made confection! Both Hot and Cold Lattes are just like the $6.00 cups that you find at the better stores. I now use the single wall, double shot basket, and steam about 12-14 oz of milk for my morning Latte. What I REALLY love is that, if I want to make another espresso exactly right after I just pulled a shot for my morning latte, to make one for the hubby, all I have to do is tap out the grinds,,,,place the portafilter into the grinder, tamp it down, and lock it into the machine,,,with a singe push of the button, I have now pulled two double shots in just a short moment,,,other machines, that I have tried this with, have purged hot steam onto my hands! This was VERY dangerous and scary,,,,the Breville machine, doesn't blink an eye, at the fact that you are asking it to do what you want it to! I have no fear if I ever have guests over for after dinner coffees now! It is expensive,,,,it is. Especially if you purchase the grinder,,,,but is is worth it? I say YES,,,each and EVERY morning or afternoon that I use this machine,,,the product that comes out really is that yummy!. I also found a very tasty whole espresso bean, at XX XXXXXX, (it's in a 2.2lb. Blue Bag, I am out right now so I cannot think of the name. But, I do think that, it is better than XXXXXXXX,,,,if I can no longer find these beans, I will go back to the XXXXXXXXXX beans,,,I would not suggest using a pre-ground (although they say that his is fine as well as the PODS of espresso), or a low quality bean in this machine. As I have found out with the machines themselves, (from XXXXXXXXX to, XX XXXXXXX , to another higher end brand from XXXXXX years ago, as well as four different types of Moka pots), they just don't build up the pressure needed, for a great Latte,,,and the Breville fits this bill,,,so why shouldn't your espresso beans, also fit that bill? If you are looking for not only a BEAUTIFUL Machine, but one that actually tastes the way a coffee house coffee does, then this is what you want!

I first bought a Cuisinart DTC-975BKN Thermal 12-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker from *** after my 5 year old Cuisinart died. It leaked - I couldn't believe how awful it was considering the brand name. Most on *** wrote the same reviews. SO, you can imagine I was leary to buy another Cuisinart, but I wanted a thermal cafe and bought this one. The design on this is much better than the other model I returned. I just made my first pot of coffee and all is well - I am happy. No leaking. The coffee is hot and is staying hot. Some things for Cuisinart to consider: Make the water easier to fill - it's not awful, but could be improved. And I understand the carafe lid is designed to keep the coffee hot, but the coffee doesn't pour as easily and freely as my glass carafe. I think this may just be me being fussy. One pot of coffee is what this review is based on - if trouble comes - I'll write another review.

The Brentwood electric Kettle provides hot water simply, quickly, and very conveniently. This appliance is perfect for those who drink hot beverages. In our home, that means hot cocoa.

I actually have this coffee pot and bought it again for a gift. I love my Bunn. Since it always keeps the water hot, coffee is realy to be brewed in less than 2 minutes. We had a Bunn that lasted for 10 years of heavy use (several pots a day). So even though a Bunn might cost a little more up front, it is much cheaper over the long haul AND it makes great coffee.

It has two flip up lids. One for the brew basket (old style pleated filters, not cone shaped) which drips water all over the top and sides of the unit when you open it after brewing. The other is for the water which is a large opening and easy to pour water into, but the unit must be turned sideways or pulled to the edge of the counter as the lid flips toward you and is in the way. The carafe does not pour well and is not as pictured. It is wider at the top making it top-heavy and awkward when full. All of this is unfortunate, as Kitchen Aid is a good brand. I believe they have hired designers for their coffee pot who don't drink coffee and have never actually brewed or served it. Really disappointed with this purchase.

I had been looking for an electric pot for quite some time. I have a hot water kettle, but it does not have the option of keeping the water warm. This pot does. It's a great buy.

Excellent coffee maker, easy to program and easy to use and keep clean. Coffee stays hot until the pot automatically turns off, a feature I love since in the past I forgot my coffeemakers often.

Some modern appliances are so new that you may have not had the chance to learn about their amazing features. Others are a big improvement over their older counterparts. These five appliances are desirable additions to any modern kitchen.
They say the kitchen is the heart of a home, but in many homes, it's also the biggest source of energy waste. Kitchen lighting, refrigeration and cooking consume about 41.5 percent of the total home energy use; add space heating, cooling, and water heating to that total, and you'll see your kitchen is quite the energy hog. Creating an eco-friendly kitchen includes your choice of appliances, but it also goes beyond that; the floors, paint, pots and pans, and other kitchen items you use can make your kitchen eco-friendly as well.

Cozy kitchens can have all the conveniences of large kitchens. Just because your kitchen is small doesn't mean you can't enjoy large appliances, like dishwashers. Portable dishwashers are a convenience for small kitchens. When there isn't enough cabinet space to begin with, it's hard to justify installing a dishwasher and losing even more storage areas. Portable dishwashers are convenient and simple to hook up, and they even create an additional work surface for your kitchen. Since they roll on casters, portable dishwashers can easily be stored out of the way until they are ready to be used.
Many bowls and plates are considered microwave safe; however, if you use the wrong dish, you could ruin both the dinnerware and the dinner. Microwaves are convenient appliances, but there are a few precautions you should know about when it comes to your dishes. Always check to see if a dish is microwave safe before using it in the microwave. Some containers can break, melt or scald you. Some containers can also damage your microwave, such as foil-lined containers. Microwave-safe dishes can be used to both cook and store food. Non-microwave safe containers can only be used for storage or serving.
