I always try to buy refurbished products. To date, never got an unpleasant surprise. When I took this out of the box, it looked just like the brand new ones. And, O is a trustworthy company; had nothing but great customer service with them. Only used this brand of stand mixer, so can't compare with others. But, KA has fantastic customer service and stands behind their products. I' usually buy this brand because of their quality and c/s.

Felt I was taking my chances buying a refurb but am more than happy with this item. It really does appear brand new. Some upscale companies don't discount their product-- it is not in their brand image. So instead when they have stock that needs to move they classify it a 'refurb' even though it is brand new. I know this is true with Apple Computer when they need to move a 'previous generation' of product to make way for the new. I am guessing that this is the case here with Cuisinart. Anyway, great coffee. I do want to point out (because I missed it in the product description) that this coffee maker does NOT come with its gold tone filter. Also, the item I received is NOT stainless steel. It is something I think they call black chrome. Or something like that. Clearly not stainless. Is this the case with all of them or just mine, I don't know. It wasn't a deal breaker or enough for me to try for an exchange.

Even though my husband says that "it looks like a radio", it's a fine toaster for the price. I hope that because it has been refurnished, it doesn't effect the life of the appliance!

I was hesitant in buying a refurbished product, but this purchase has proven to be a great one! We cook often, but rarely need a food processor or blender until we grew a significant crop of tomatoes and zucchini. This was just the right appliance. Soon we will make smoothies too! No noticeable exterior damage of any kind and the product was sold at a reasonable price.

Got the blender for smoothies. It's wonderful. Watch out. Smoothies put on weight, but they are healthy. Have to do more exercise.

I read Chrome and thought it to be a steel carafe. It's plastic! You have to unscrew the bottom, pull of the whole outer cover, and therein lies a round GLASS thermas that sits, wobbly, on the plastic bottom with NO HOLDER. It just balances there. You fill that, then hope you can get the outer cover all the way down and screwed into place without spilling. Good Luck on that! NOT dishwasher or even hand wash safe. Can only rinse with water. Also have to first fill it with water the same temp you'll be using for to either cool off or warm up the glass so it doesn't Break> WHAT A RIP OFF!!!!!!!!

I love that this product replaces the two that I had on the counter. The Processor bowl is a bit small at a 3 cup capacity but doable for most recipes. The blender pitcher is a great size

I started using the food processer right away and was pleased with it. Very easy to use and the blender is something that I will be getting a lot of use out of it. Made some smoothie's and they came out great. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

This is an absolutely fabulous find on Overstock.com. I saw this mixer (and the other limited edition ones: copper & chrome) at Williams Sonoma in the past. They were gorgeous, but a little out of my price range considering I already have a Kitchen Aid mixer (which I have loved using for many years). I updated my kitchen from bisque appliances to stainless steel last year... and had been considering getting a new mixer (I had the red metallic one in mind but just couldn't commit to the red although I loved it). Then I saw this one on Overstock and couldn't help but buy it. The discount was substantial (in comparison to other sites and stores). I couldn't wait to open the box - and was as happy with it in person as I had hoped. Like other reviewers have noted - it goes very well with my stainless appliances (but it doesn't show handprints!) The color is beautiful, the quality is great. So, not only does it look gorgeous in my kitchen, but it performs. I highly recommend this product. Oh, and it arrived quickly too!

I did my research and homework and it seemed to have paid off! At first, I was a bit skeptical about purchasing a refurbished item, but I am definitely pleased so far. This toaster is great and reasonably priced. I especially like having the defrost button because I store a lot of my bread products in the freezer until I am ready to use them. I also like the extra boost you can get to lift items like bagels and muffins high enough without having to dig them out. The brushed aluminum sides go well with my stainless appliances and I was a bit surprised when I first saw the shiny front where the buttons are, but now I think it actually keeps it from looking like a boring kitchen appliance.

Great quality and a nice saving over a non-refurbished model. You can't tell the difference!

I was leary of buying a refurbished product, but this is, as the description indicated, so fully refurbished or a new product that was returned for some reason that it seems perfectly new to us. We are loving the quality of the coffee and the ease of use. The cost, at $1 a cup, seems a little high, so we also purchased the refillable capsules and are able to use the pounds of coffee beans purchased for other coffee machines we have tried in the past. A great deal for a great produce!

Kuvings NS-950 Chrome Masticating Silent Slow Juicer Review This is my first quality juicer. In the past I had cheap centrifugal juicers. For a long time I have wanted a masticating juicer that would better preserve the enzymes of the juice, and I finally got this one. I am not mechanically inclined. On the day the juicer arrived, I slowly and carefully read the instruction manual and identified the various pieces of the juicer. I took apart the pieces and washed them in lukewarm water. I then let them dry overnight. (The instructions say not to wash in hot water. In truth, no plastic kitchenware should be washed in hot water. Germs can’t exist without moisture, so the parts will be fine once they are try. If you’re still concerned about germs, you can wipe the pieces with vinegar.) I like that the juicer comes with a 10-year warranty. I wrote the date of purchase, from whom I purchased the juicer, and the purchase order number on the warranty. The following day I reassembled the pieces. I washed and cut the fruit and vegetables to size. (I ended up cutting the fruits and vegetables smaller than necessary.) I made the juice recommended by Joe Cross of the “Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead” film : 2 granny smith apples, 6 leaves of kale, 4 celery stalks, 1 cucumber, ˝ peeled lemon, and a piece of ginger root. ( I overdid it on the ginger.) The juice came out nicely and cleanly. The pulp was quite dry, meaning the juicer squeezed out most of the juice from the fruits and veggies. I was pleased with the quality of the juice. I have since made more juice with this juicer. After making juice, the juicer is easy to disassemble and clean. Included with the juicer is a Cleaning Brush that resembles an over-sized toothbrush, and it is very helpful. An additional green Cleaning Tool that fits over the strainer is included; however, I prefer to use the Cleaning Brush instead. The end of the Cleaning Brush is good for cleaning out the slot where the part called a “Compression Silicone” plug goes. (The Compression Silicone plug, which one unplugs for cleaning, is part of the Juicing Bowl. The Compression Silicone plug compresses the fibers from the juice.) The Kuvings NS-950 Silent Juicer consists of 12 total pieces: the 1. Base (with the motor), 2. Juicing Bowl (fits on top of the Base), 3. Rotation Wiper (fits inside the Juicing Bowl), 4. Strainer (fits into the Rotation Wiper), 5. Juicing Screw (fits inside the Strainer), 6. Drum Lid (screws onto the top of the Juicing Bowl, 7. Hopper (sits on top of the Drum Lid), 8. Pusher (a simple device used to push fruit or veggie pieces down the Drum Lid), 9. Juice Cup, 10. Pulp Cup, 11. Cleaning Brush, and 12. Cleaning Tool. I am still at the point where I have to read the directions and take my time when I assemble the juicer. For example, I have to be sure that the Juicing Screw clicks into place. There was also one time in which I had put the Drum Lid on crooked. The Drum Lid seemed to be stuck in the wrong position, and I panicked. Fortunately my husband helped unscrew it. Even when I screw the Drum Lid on properly, I often need a rubber “grip” to unscrew it. The juicer does not take very long to assemble, but you still don’t want to rush it. I bought this juicer because of the nutritional benefits of a masticating juicer (and the price was good). The quiet motor (not totally silent, but pleasantly quiet) is an added bonus. (By the way, I collect the leftover fiber, freeze it, and later add it to casseroles.) I have only had this juicer for about a month, but so far I am very pleased with it.

This is beautiful machine I ever purchased. This is such a smart design it deserves a 10. I make a lot of gourmet sauces and do some serious sauce canning and this product saves me so much time that wish I would made this purchase years ago. So very impressed with juicer I'm tossing my old juicer In the goodwill bag. Buy it and you won't regret it for juicing or sauce making! With 10 year warranties, I have nothing to worry about.

I've always wanted a kitchen aid stand mixer, and when I found them on overstock.com I finally bought one. I spent days reading reviews and at the kitchen aid website to get an idea of the different types of mixers, tilt head or bowl lift, power, colors, I read all I could before ordering, because for me, this was a major purchase and I wanted to get it right the first time. I've used the mixer for beating eggs, mixing cookie dough, making cinnamon rolls, and pizza dough. I bought the tilt head machine and have not been disappointed. It's easy to clean, works like a horse, and everything I've made has come out great! The motor does seem to sound bogged down with the pizza dough, but I've also read for these machines that's not unusual. It's the way the motor works. It's a piece of machinery and needs to be run. I'm very satisfied and would not hesitate to buy this mixer again. I bought the metallic chrome color, the picture is very accurate. It is heavy, so find a place on your counter for it, you won't want to move it around.
