I did extensive research before purchasing a blender. I looked at Vitamix and Blendtec and I was hooked. I looked at the Waring but there is just to many cheap Warings' out there that are throw away to make me try them. I mean this is $300 we are talking about here. There is no doubt that this blender is in the same realm as Vitamix and Blendtec. This thing is built to last. The bottom of the jar has a stainless steel coupler for added duribility. It also has big rubber pads to keep it from "running" on the counter top. When you get up to this level on a blender there are certain funtions your expect... Ice, nut butters and large fruits... This blender doesn't think twice. Don't leave it on to long or it will start to puree and warm the food in the blender up. (which is common among big blenders). The switches even feel good on this machine! The blade is as thick as a blendtec and if you have ever seen a Blendtec's blade, then you know what I am talking about. I have owned Omega juicers for a long time and everyone in the juicing game knows how good they are! Buying this blender in not only a investment for long lasting durability, it is also a investment in you health. These days that is a good choice to make.

I am a foodie and a vegitarian, I make green smoothies daily and this blender cuts could not cut it. I had whole chunks of green apples. In my smoothie on ever try. I owned the blendtec which was great, however the Breville IKON was better than the blendtec in my opinion and will be buying another soon.

I use my Blendtec every morning and have for two years--since I purchased it. But it was an older model with an older jar that was made with BPAs, so it turned from clear to off white. This new jar is BPA free and should last forever. Great price--I did my research. Thanks Overstock.com!

It crushes ice amazingly well, creating a fine powder that's ideal for snow cones. It makes great smoothies and milkshakes. We bought this based on the Cook's Illustrated equipment tests and after a few weeks we are not disappointed. I love the wide top for ease of cleaning and adding ingredients. We've also owned a Blendtec but it was so expensive and we didn't like the way it made milkshakes so we took it back. For everyday use, we love the price tag and performance of this machine. It really is a breeze to clean out, even if you get sticky peanut butter on the sides.

I bought this blender because I can't yet justify spending over $400 on a Vitamix or Blendtec. I've used it daily for a few weeks now and it consistently churns out delicious results. Green smoothies with spinach blend to a very smooth consistency, the result with kale is not as smooth but of course, kale is a tougher green than spinach. This blender simply demolishes ice, frozen fruit, and large pieces of apple without any difficulty. I have not had to use a tamper during blending; the blender's shape and power is enough to move all my ingredients toward the blade. One would not be able to guess that it is in refurbished condition. Pitcher has a nice pour spout, is very easy to clean and I love that it is a one-piece assembly. I'm very happy that I saved hundreds of dollars buying this blender over the fancier types, it's perfect for my moderate smoothie needs :)

I recently purchased two different blenders, one from Target and this one for two different residences. I thought the Target blender was really good. I have been getting into green smoothies and blending fruits and vegeatables together. I was surprised that it did a pretty good job, especially considering all of the vita mix and blendtec users who make green smoothies. When I got to my vacation apartment and used the Kaloric blender... I was very pleasantly surprised. It did a fantastic job on blending pineapple, cucumber, parsley and spinach together with a bit of water and was quieter than the one at home. It also emulsified the foods better with less foam. I also like being able to just pop open the lid with my thumb. The Kaloric blender is a rare find in this price range, is rugged enough for daily use (sometimes twice a day!) and blends foods to a wonderful creaminess! Definitely recommend this blender!

Did some research before purchasing this blender to make sure it was what I was looking for. It is top rated and I really like having automatic features on there so I don't have to stand and pulse manually whatever I'm making.

I've had this blender for a little over three months and it quite working today. It has only been used for making smoothies and nothing complicated, time consuming or difficult. I'm very disappointed.

Absolutely love my blender! My girls love smoothies. We had an Oster blender but it was loud and took forever to make the smoothies smooth. As soon as the UPS man delivered the blender...we put it to use. I have to say...what an upgrade! Worth every penny. I love that it runs through a cycle to make the smoothie and I dont have to babysit the blender. It made 4 smoothies in 20 seconds and it was perfectly blended.no chunks of ice....love it! Not to mention that it came with a cookbook. Highly recommend this blender!
