This rug hits the mark, 1st it is WOOL, I can't say enough good things about wool rugs for wear and tear and clean up, 2nd value you could easily pay twice as much for this rug in a local store, 3 shipped in time noted. The colors are just what I wanted a muted and dusty blue, accent beige and muted sage green. I like my rugs to blend in with my decor not jump out. I like my furniture to get the attention and his rug is a great complement to my furnishings and art! PS ALL wool rugs shed, that is the nature of them..no smell.

Got my rug today and it is perfect for my space! Yes, it does shed quite a bit but that is normal for any new rug/carpet. The slate blue is perfect to compliment my room. I was a bit hesitant to order a rug online without seeing it but Overstock is great to deal with. I originally got a different smaller rug but ended up deciding to try this one instead and am glad I did! The return process was easy for the other one and I will continue to be a return customer. Thanks Overstock! :)

This product surpassed our expectations beyond all others. Quality, workmanship and great value. we especially appreciate the antique, old world charm of the rug and how beautifully it worked in our room. It has enhanced the room into a showcase and the pictures on the website, though good, do not due it justice. We simply could not be happier with our purchase. Thank you Overstock .com!

Why the poor reviews? I dont understand why some people buy rugs and expect that they wont shed- ITS A RUG! I love to change up my rugs every two years in my home and ever since I have discovered Overstock.com this has made doing so save me a lot of money! I have many rugs however this one I adore! So beautiful and soft - colors are muted yet very elegant. Yes there is some shedding but its absolutely normal and if vacuumed once a week as my house is, there would be no problem at all. Beautiful rug- Love it!

I bought this rug because so many other users raved about it. I was sadly disappointed. Not only does the rug look cheap, it's uncomfortable when you lay on it and it sheds like a dog! I've had the rug for over 4 months now and it's still shedding! It gets all over my clothes and the fibers show up visibly against my dark hardwood floors. I'm constantly vacuuming and wiping the fibers off the rug and floors. The only redeeming factor about this rug is that it's cheap! But then again, you get what you pay for...

The colors are much prettier on my monitor than the rug was in person. I am returning it because it just looks cheap. I wish is would have worked. Oh well, I still love overstock.com.

I do not usually leave reviews, but this rug is absolutely gorgeous! Do not hesitate to order. The colors are muted giving it a real high end look. It has a dense, high pile. This rug would retail well over $1000 retail. It is a true find!

I am so thrilled with this rug! Like many reviewers stated, it does seem more muted than how Overstock pictures it, which is fine with me. It does look antique/ slightly faded. I put it under/around my king size bed. I have light green walls and a darker smoky green carpet. I wanted to incorporate slate blue tones into the room (as well as various browns/taupe) and do a french country feel and this rug helps bring the colors together. It also has some sage green, beige and red accents. Delivery was about a week, which is typical. It is a fantastic value for such a large rug. This is the third rug i've purchased from Overstock and I have yet to be disappointed. I almost wish I'd bought the next size up, but this will work fine.

Carpet is subtly "more blue" than it appeared on my monitor; and I'm fine with that as it is serving as an area rug against a blue-veined limestone floor. The size is true to the dimensions given and, on balance, it is a handsome addition to the domestic hearth. It has a suggestion of antiquity - exactly the effect for which I hoped. The carpet arrived timely and it was very well protected in two outer layers of industrial-duty plastic and an inner plastic lining.

After reading all the reviews, I finally decided to take the plunge and buy this rug. What helped make my decision was a comment made by one reviewer who stated that slate blue was the predominate color in the rug, not deep blue or sage green. I ordered it on a Sunday, and it arrived the following Wednesday (Xmas Eve), just in time for the holiday. It came delivered well packaged and was wrapped in three, heavy-duty plastic sleeves, which I methodically removed because I wanted to reuse it in the event I was not happy with my purchase. This process took me about an hour, but it was all for naught. This rug turned out to be exactly what I wanted. The center field is a slate blue with shades of sage, beige, putty and rust in the border and field motif. The rust color is not overpowering; it laces the motif and is throughout the rug. This rug lies on newly installed maple wood floors and adds dimension and warmth to my living room. It ties together all the color elements in my room; slate gray, beige, blue/rust accents. Additionally, this rug does not continually molt. You just have to vacuum it everyday. The rug is a substantial weight and appears to be of good quality. I ordered a rug pad at the same time but did not receive it until Saturday and now that I have placed it under the rug, the rug is even more luxurious. This rug is a real value!

This rug is beautiful! It makes the room look great! The deal is unbeatable! I shopped around and found rugs that were 3x5 for the same price I payed for this 7x9! Doesnt shed and I would defiantely buy it again!

I have purchased area rugs from overstock before and have been satisfied with the product as well as the buying experience as a whole, this is a fine rug, tasteful and attractive.

Very nice rug; however, the colors are quite different in person than on the computer screen. The rug is actually much lighter - the blue isn't dark blue or navy but actually a slate blue-gray. Also the pile of the rug is much higher than we anticipated - we were expecting a low pile Oriental rug. Despite all of this, it is still a good quality rug for the price and it looks great in our room.

i received the rug and the colors were great, a little off from it's photo but close enough... unfortunately after having it for 2 weeks in a little traffic area, the rug looks worn and molting, definately dissappointing, it looks great but i'm sure will have to replace it in a few months.

this rug is amazing. it's very thick and so comfortable to walk on. it's a very high end label, and i've been eyeing it in the store for a while now - i was very, very happy to find it for a fraction of the price on overstock. i've gotten so many compliments already on the rug, and no one can believe the price! i would buy another in an instant.
