This fixture is larger than I realized, but quite sturdy. I put it in my dining room and the shades direct the light right to the table. I get compliments on it all the time.
The lamp looks fairly good now that it has been assembled and hung, but.... There are two mirror images to the lamp and some of the parts did not assemble consistently, so the if one looks close, they are not the same length. The method of stringing the cord through the lamp was poor - a little protective plastic covering apparently came off, the cord was cut by sharp metal as it pulled through and created a short the first time I switched it on. So, I had to rewire the lamp - nothing a bit of electrical tape couldn't fix, but my goodness, who designed the thing? I would say you have better choices.
