This is a tall, elegant, sturdy, lamp. The antique brass is a nice, rich color, and the glass shade goes with it nicely. It is especially pretty if you use one of those pinkish, soft white bulbs. It was easy to assemble; just took a few minutes. I didn't need the instructions, though they were clear. The manufacturer gives an 800 number for replacement parts, which is good, since the shade is glass. And the lamp arrived in just a few days. Hooray!

This lamp is an improvement over the one I had but it is very tall and requires a 150 watt bulb. You do get a lot of light out of it and I'd recommend it if it happens to be the only lamp/light you might have in a large room which is the case with the room I got it for. The shade is pretty nice and pleasantly decorative. I think this would go good in just about any type of room.

The torchiere is well-made. It is heavy enough not to wobble on thick carpeting. The glass is nicely tinted and detailed. Easy to assemble. Easily handles "energy-saver" bulbs, too. Very happy with this lamp.

We are very impressed with the quality of these lamps. There was some concern that the photo would not be accurate, but it was spot on. We purchased two of these and they arrived in a timely manner. Our teenaged daughter had them assembled and in place when we came home from work. We are very pleased.

I have now bought 3 of them! The color is a lovely brass, the little notches in the pole part adds a very nice touch, 50-100-150 bulb is so useful, the glass top has a distict rim of soft gold that compliments the brass. Can be put together in 5 minutes & as always delivered more quickly than you can believe! Thank you Overstock, you are the best.

I purchased this lamp for a dark corner of my living room, and it gives the perfect amount of light. It was taller than I expected, which only means I should have read the description more carefully! I love its simplicity and classic look.

Looks very good in a corner in our living room. When you look close you can see the paint strokes on the pole. But overall, nice looking product.
