We purchased this bed for our 4 yr old daughter. She loves her new big girl bed! It did not take too long to assemble. The bed is solid & I am not concerned it will break anytime soon. I would purchase again!
Beds are not as white as one might expect, yet they are not cream either.
So happy the hold adults as well as children as guests vary in age.
headboard is nice and high so you can add a box spring if you wish.
assembly very fast.
one side rail arrived cracked. Promptly replaced by Overstock.
very happy overall.
We desperately needed new beds for the kids (ages fourteen and fifteen). A trip to the local mid-quality furniture store revealed $XXX to $XXX price tags *per bed* and a "ho-hum" selection of styles. My subsequent online research brought me back to Overstock and to these Anderson twin beds (we bought the walnut finish for him and the white finish for her). The beds arrived in a total of six separate boxes (three cartons for each bed). My husband put them together and they both look really great. There is always a certain amount of trepidation over ordering furniture online that requires "assembly," but these beds look as though they could have been delivered in one piece. Also, these are platform beds: I believe that there are a total of twelve slats that get screwed into the frame. This is a bit of a job for the "assembler," but the bed frame is "no nonsense" and a box spring is not required. The kids are comfortable and we're very pleased.
It says "Assembly required," but then in the details box it says "Assembled." Is this already assembled?susanna12345 on Jan 14, 2014Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question

Hello Mljerin! The recommended weight limit for this bed is 400 pounds. Thanks for shopping with us!overstockcustomercare2 on Dec 1, 2013
Are the wooden slats fixed to the bed frame so that they dont move? How are they prevented from falling down to the floor, especially when kids jump?
Is the bed designed for use without box spring? If yes, what are the recommended dimensions of the mattress? Does the mattress rise above the side wooden rails sufficiently, when a boxspring is not used?

Thank you for shopping with us tan33. The slats screw into the side rails and the center rail. This has 12 slats so a box spring is not necessary. You would use a standard twin mattress. I hope this helps.overstockcustomercare1 on Oct 29, 2013
