Satisfied
I absolutely love this piece of furniture. It really balanced out my living room. I did have to assist my husband at interval, but for the most part he was solo. The color is a dark rich brown that anyone would love. I am happy with this selection!!!!!!!!

Sturdy but tough to put together
This holds a projector unit and several video game systems, plus lots of game boxes. However, my husband was cursing the whole time he was putting this together. After he had put together almost all of it, he discovered that most every piece was upside down and all pieces would need to be taken apart to fix it. To work around this, we attached one of the last pieces without using the support dowels, since the holes wouldn't match up for that. So hopefully we haven't sacrificed any sturdiness for the sake of just getting the unit assembled! As I said, though, it's a solid piece and holds a lot, plus it's attractive.

Met expectations
Enjoying the bookcase. Took about three to four hours for two adults to assemble. Use an electric screwdriver. Some of the pieces may not align initially, but a rubber mallet helps bring the pieces together. Be aware that the product dimensions for the length reflect the widest point as measured from the top of bookcase. The shelves are a few inches shorter, so one of the pieces I had planned to put on the bookcase has to be placed at a angle.

Color: Exact; Sturdy & Handsome!
Assembly Alert: Be sure to examine Pg 3/6 *PARTS POSITION* very carefully to avoid having to disassemble and begin again (like I did!) I merely skimmed through this page and began assembly on Pg 4/6, box #1. *Pay close attention that the Camlock Screws(4) are mounted to the correct side of Fixed Shelves(E).* Use care when aligning/tightening hdwr as [any] veneer may split. Beyond these issues, the shelf is prime DIY. The Andaman Bookcase is solid, sturdy and heavy, a quality sometimes lacking in RTA pieces. The styling is great and will blend easily with most decor. Initially I was concerned with the finish description: "light Halifax brown." However, when all but a few reviews described it as matching the photo exactly, I felt confident that it was the dark brown finish I was looking for. The reviews were correct, the color is exactly as pictured! Upon arrival, I was dismayed to see the box completely crushed on one corner. However, it was packed and protected in such a way that thankfully, there was absolutely no damage to the shelf! CONS: The bookcase is a wonderful piece! However, the fact that it is manuf. wood and veneer, along with the obvious visibility of the camlock caps after assembly, a more accurate price would be about twenty to twenty five percent lower than what I paid.
