Gorgeous colors; just as pictured. Soft, muted tones. The red really pops, as we have a "cinnamon" (red) couch. Thick & soft, almost plush feel. Our dog loves it! It does shed, but I think after vacuuming a couple times it should be ok. Very neutral tones; would work well w/ all styles, from casual to somewhat formal. It's not something you see everyday, which is nice. Background is a pale taupe, with accents of almost a sagey- green/gray, along with ivory & the touches of red, which is really a burgundy or rusty-barn red (not a bright fire engine red).
The rug is absolutely beautiful in person. There is hardly any gold. It's very muted and neutral. It came very quickly as previously stated by everyone else. I do have to warn against shedding. It sheds A LOT. I just scrape the side of my shoe against the rug, and there will be tons of fur. Since I bought the rug, there is a lot of fur flying around the house a well. Do not lay down on the rug or else you will look like you've been attacked by the rug. If you have a very good vacuum cleaner, then I think you can eliminate the shedding problem. Also, putting the rug in a area without a whole lot of foot traffic will help as well. As for me, I just have to deal with the lint and fur, and not lay down on the rug.

I ordered this rug Monday afternoon and it was delivered to my door Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. The rug is very high quality. As others have mentioned, the rug colors are more muted than they appear in the photo, however the same is true for most products purchased online. I have shopped for weeks and the only rugs I found (and liked) were more than double the price of this rug. I can't say enough about Overstock's quality of products and service. The best! Don't think twice about ordering.

Absolutely gorgeous rug! I was a little hesitant to order it after seeing all of the reviews of it being so green because I'm not so crazy about most shades of green. I took the plunge though,and I am so glad I did. The green in the rug is more of a beautiful silvery sage color - kind of greenish bluish grayish color. Then you have the gold, and the pops of red. I can't imagine a room that it wouldn't look good in. I also like the fact that it is not a "stuffy" uber-traditional rug - it is more of a transitional style rug that will go with many styles of decor. Very comfy, too.

This rug is heavenly. Thick, plush, soft, gorgeous. It is such a steal. I am beyond thrilled. The photo doesn't do this rug justice. The colors are very neutral with just enough punches of color like deep red, tons of different greens, yellow, all soft and lovely. Heaven! So excited I took the leap and got it!
Timing of delivery was quick! Love the color and how it changes throughout the day but continues to blend with everything in the room. Love the underfoot comfort and the way it vacuums. I'm going to order a matching runner (or two), as soon as I can!Yviv

It took a long time for me to finally decide to purchase this rug, but I am certainly glad I did. It is beautiful and extremely well made. The colors in the rug are mostly muted in tone and blend beautifully in my room. Excellent choice at an excellent price!
The color is a little bit different than the photo - it is more tan / muted colors - not so yellow or burnt orange. But the rug is absolutely beautiful. Really an amazing rug - great quality and design. Overall a great buy. It's my second rug purchase on overstock and it's well worth the searching through all of the rugs to find what you like.

This rug is very beautiful, however, it is more mint green than the picture portrays. It also isn't similar to the picture of the matching runner, which is also available on Overstock. Instead, the rug is about 20% lighter in color that the pictures, and with an overall minty tone to it. It has a sort of clean, fresh look. The construction appears high quality, and I've had no problems with it shedding. I am very satisfied.

We bought these runners for the hallway in our new condo. These are so thick and plush. Excellent quality. We are very pleased with the color and quality of these. For the price, you cant beat it, or find them cheaper anywhere. They came delivered in no time. thanks Overstock!

Believe the previous reviews about the green hue - they're true! Received the rug two days ago, one week after ordering. If the overall color of the rug were closer to the tan/ivory palette, and not so light green, it would be the perfect rug. But it really should be described as a light sage and ivory rug.

I bought the Ancestry Tan/Ivory Wool rug (8 x 10') and I love it. The colors are great and it is more beautiful than it looks in the picture and looks great our bedroom. We have experienced very minor shedding as you will with any rug. I will definately order from Overstock again.

I am very pleased with my rug. I knew I wanted a Mahal after testing one in the room for a few days-- but just wasn't interested in doing an investment rug for the dining room. Instead of $6,000 I paid about $400 and I have the same soft blend of color and pattern, plus the touches of deep red, that I was searching for.
I am experiencing no shedding or pilling. The rug has a nice sheen-- nothing shiny, just a pale cream-green glow in the light.
Delivery was super fast and it was very well wrapped.
