I have painted mine a with a gloss white and added some crystal knobs. I am using it as a French door entrance to our master bath. We built our door jamb to accommodate it, added 4 crystal knobs and still debating whether we need some kind of a lock??? It probably would be best to have one since I'd prefer it over a door catch. Door catches tend to be stubborn and have found out at least in my home He-man strength.

I painted this door black and put it for my studio's changing room. It allows light in while still giving privacy. Highly recommend!!

I used this door at my kitchen/service porch area. Everyone who comes in comments on how beautiful it is. It was easier to install than my handyman thought. He had it up in less than 30 minutes. It is a standout it my modern kitchen. Good quality and style.

    • Great looking doors, and solid construction!
      Verified Purchase

We installed these door a few weeks back, and I am very pleased with them. They are very solid, and provide the exact amount of privacy and "sound-proofing" we were looking for to establish for our busy downstairs family room. We were looking for some separation, but the ability to still hear/see our soon to be teenage kids. These do the job. The fact that the windows included full cellophane coverage to the wood frame made painting a bit less painstaking than it could be (still required 3 coats of paint w/primer to deliver the desired finish). The only negative is opening and closing the doors (sliding) requires a little more effort than expected. I attribute this to the weight of the doors (heavy), and it is certainly manageable.

Beautiful door and very good quality. Needed a decorative door to close off our guest area. A regular door would have been obtrusive and unsightly. Door arrived when it was promised and we were able to install before family came for Thanksgiving. Would highly recommend.

    • Excellent quality, unfinished pine
      Verified Purchase

These doors arrived on my front porch they day after I ordered them. Seriously--one day, and I didn't pay shipping, either. I paid a handyman to install them, and they look beautiful. I did have to finish the wood, though. I asked the Overstock chat advisor, and was told that the doors had a natural finish that looked like the picture. They don't. They are unfinished pine, and the buyer has to stain and varnish or paint them to get the desired color. The glass has a plastic sheet on both sides, so leaving it on while I was finishing the wood helped minimize clean-up. The glass is much nicer than I thought it was going to be. It's heavy glass with some beveled lines making up the un-frosted part. The picture shows a pair of doors, so you have to buy two doors to get four panels that open in the center and look like the picture on Overstock's website. If you don't mind finishing them yourself (or hiring a woodworker) you won't be sorry you bought these. The end product is very nice.

    Questions & Answers

    • Hi - I have a pantry doorway with an opening of exact 60x80 1/2 (and a tiny bit of room for hinges). I am wondering if 2 set of these (30x80 1/2) would fit or we have to trim the edge of our door way. Thank you!

    • The dimensions of my doorway are 78 1/4 by 30. Will this be enough room to fit the door along with the hardware?

    • Can these be used for saloon type swinging doors?

      • Not really. They're hinged in the middle and fold only. There's no give for them to swing. They ARE very nicely made and very solid. I love them.

    • Can two sets be purchased for an opening with one set being hinged on the right and one on the left and joint in the center?

    • Does the door have a track on the floor, or does it operate from the track at the top of the door only?

      • The track is at the top only. It's perfect for my laundry closet. It comes unstained so you would need to paint it white or your preferred color to match the door frame.

    • Is this door prehung? Can you put the hinge on either side so it can be attached to the right of the frame instead of the left?

    • Does this door come with tempered glass

      • sorry I do not know. I did ordered it and some one I hired took care of it.

    • Does this door fit an opening that is 30 x 80?

      • The door I bought was a 36x80. The opening I fit it into was 35 15/16" x 81". The door functions fine and looks very nice. I used it to give my bathroom more light and it does make the bathroom seem bigger The physical door is about 35 12/16 to 13/16". It's physical height is 78" The eight lets you easily adjust for what you need.. Like i said I got the 36" x 80" but I would assume the a 30" wide you give you the same play. If you needed the width a little narrower I'd carefully plane the edge that connects to the door frame after all it is real wood.

    • Do these doors come in clear glass instead of frosted? Ron

    • OK. A few quick questions. My door space is 32" wide by about 80" high, though the current doors are 79.5" so they don't scrape the carpet. I'm assuming that if necessary we could trim a quarter of an inch off the top and bottom of this door without destroying its integrity, right? Second question is we want the doors to both hinge to the frame and open in the middle, not have a single hinge to the door and then a hinge between the two doors so they fold. Would that be a problem? We could be buy additional hinges / hardware etc as needed. Thanks!

      • The actual height of the door is 78 5/8” so you would not need to trim nor do we recommend altering our final product. Doing so would void the warranty. It would fit well in your opening and with the adjustment allowed in the hardware, you can raise or lower the door to accommodate your carpet and desired clearance. As I understand your second question, you want one panel on the left and one on the right. This is not something we accommodate nor do we have the hardware to use them that way. This would be more like a café door where they swing open and stay in an open position. This is not the intent of our bifolds and is outside of our recommendations. Using them other than they are intended would void the warranty.

    • Hello all, Due to an old house, my doorway is 70-3/8" tall, instead of the standard 80-81". So, I wonder... 1. Will this door still fit? What is the exact height of the door, along with any attachments it may have? 2. Will I be able to shave off a 1/2" from both sides using a planer, if it doesn't fit? 3. Does the door attach to the door frame on the side (using the usual hinge mortise & leaf), OR does it swing along a 'hinge' that is on the top & bottom of the door on one side (like accordion or bi-fold doors)? Please clarify. Really interested in the item, but want to make sure it will work before ordering. Thanks, Z

      • We do not recommend any trimming to the final product. It will void the warranty. Even if we did recommend it, there wouldn’t be enough to trim to make it fit that much of a difference. The door hardware (L-Bracket) attaches to the door frame. The door sits on that to pivot and glides through the track at the top.

    • I have a wide doorway 72 wide by 81 1/2 tall. Would it work to get two doors 36 x 80.5 each and hang one on each side of the doorway? Or would there be too much of a gap? Also will this door work nice in a child's bedroom? I can't decide. thank you

    • I loved the doors (we bought 2 , one between kitchen x dining room and another kitchen x Basement). In the kitchen we put the same handle to match our cabinets. Now , we are looking for internal handles for another side, to pull the door. Can you help us ??

      • Hello Monica, we do apologize, we do not currently offer a pull handle to help close this item. Please feel free to contact us again with any further questions. Thank you for shopping with us!

    • What is the lattice design made of and what color is it?

      • Hello Chris, the design is made from frosted glass. Thanks you for shopping with us.

      • what color is the hardware, is there a handle included also???

    • I have a wide doorway 72 wide by 81 tall. Would it work to get two doors 36 x 80.5 each and hang one on each side of the doorway?

      • Hello Sharyn, yes, it would work to get two doors and hang one on each side of the doorway. Thank you for shopping with us!

    • Hi I have an opening of 72 in x 80 in, can I use this door?

    • do you have a panel combination that will fit 53 inches wide X 80 inches tall Also second set for 58" wide by 80" tall?

      • Hello Derek, no, there is nothing standard that will fit those sizes. Have a great day!

      • Hello Derek, unfortunately, we currently do not have an option that is exactly 53 or 58 inches wide. I would recommend two of the 24 or 30 inch wide options and combining them to make a wider door. Thank you for shopping with us!

    • What is the rough opening measurement for the 32" door for framing purposes. Is the glass clear anywhere on the door? Several other people have said it is not as it appears and I would like to use it for a bathroom. Thank you

      • Hello ChuckieA, the 32 inch door fits finished openings 32 inches wide x 80-81 inches high. The glass also has a transparent lattice design crosses the two tall frosted-glass panels, so there are some see-thru areas. I hope that helps, thank you for shopping with us.

    • What is the finished opening size for the door that is 80.5" H by 30" W? I will have to make modifications and want to know what the finished opening size should be.

      • Hello Audrey, the finished opening width should be 30 inches. The finished opening height should be from 80 to 81 in. There is a height adjustment feature in the bottom hardware to raise and lower the door. An 80 in height would give you the least amount of clearance (gaps). Have a great day!

    • Is the transparent lattice ridged glass as shown in the white door pictured? Because the door I received is not at all like the pictured door. I suspect I received the wrong door.
