The engraving and carving on the dishes is not as pronounced as some of the reviewers had expected, but come on guys, look at the price. I feel that this is a great value for an attractive everyday dish. It's very durable. I've had the set 4 years and have yet to chip a dish. I could have bought the more expensive version, but didn't feel the need to fork over big bucks for dishes that are used on a daily basis. I have an old restored lakehouse and the plates are ever so cute on my 100 year old plank tabletop with all it's nicks, nailheads and the like.

First I bought the canister set and was very pleased. Have had several compliments on them. Then I bought the dinnerware (two sets) and the 5-piece serveware and truely love it . I had one chipped coffee cup when removing it from the box but probably won't need all eight cups at one time anyway. I have not been disappointed with anything I have purchased from Overstock.com yet.

I think this is such an elegant everyday dish. Like the other reviewers mention - these dishes are not all perfect. The areas where the gray glaze pools in some places is heavier than others. But for the price I am completely happy. I think they are functional and beautiful.

I have ordered 2 sets and the additional finishing pieces of this china. The finish on the design is uneaven, it has dark to almost non finish on the design. The first order I had 2 peices replaced. There were specks under the clear coat. Overstock immediately sent out the replacements. Unfortunately, the person who shipped the replacements never looked at the pieces and one arrived with another speck. Overstock did send another to replace the second, quickly. I do not recommend this set if you will be crazy with no two pieces looking the same! Not the quality I have always enjoyed from Overstock.

I was concerned before I received it that it might look different (based on some others' reviews) but I think it looks fine, it goes very well with what I already have. A good, basic creamy "antiqued" white, very versatile. I am pleased with it.
