This is a great looking set. The chairs are comfortable and everything feels fairly sturdy. It took my husband quite a while to put together all the chairs - the table was a little easier. The process of putting on teak oil took quite a while, so plan on that. I used a mini-roller and a rag and it worked fairly well. One thing to note is that the chairs fit only partially under the table rather than all the way. It looks okay, but the fit isn't perfect.
- How did the color on site compare with the actual product? Looked very much like the photo
- Please tell us about the quality of the product. seems good - not great but not bad at all. Chairs and table are fairly sturdy, but not like high end furniture. Wood surface is fairly smooth, but not perfect.
- How accurate was the on site description of the product? good
We wanted a set that seated 8 and looked like Teak. This fit the bill perfectly. Chairs and table were easy to assemble with two people and tools provided. One chair didn't align right, and parts that were off were replaced promptly. It also included the wood sealer, which helps preserve the color, or you can let it 'silver' as it ages.
We have owned the table and 8 chairs for over a month now. Assembly was straightforward, if somewhat laborious and time-consuming -- a few hours. The quality of both the table and chairs is excellent. The gently curved wood frame of the chairs is layered and smooth and strong. The table arrived with a small ding in the edge, but I smoothed the damage with sandpaper and didn't consider it needed to be returned. Otherwise, the set is perfect. The chairs are comfortable and attractive in design. We are pleased with our purchase. The price is competitive with other options.
