Aluminum Slingback Patio Glider

I purchased this ALUMINUM Glider back in May 06, it is now January 07 and it has RUSTED and of course it only has a 30 day warrenty but of course it didn't rust then. when I contected CS thru the chat line all they would do was give me a $10.00 in store credit.....I have been a member with Overstock for a couple of years and am extremely disappointed with the way they handled this matter.....DO NOT BUY THIS SO CALLED ALUMINUM GLIDDER!!!!!!!!i

What a great gift this was for my parents. Easy to put together and wonderful to sit on. They loved it as do their neighbors. Ordering and delivery went off without a hitch. Thanks. Happy New Year

It was not the easiest to assemble and you definitely need 2 people. Took about an hour 1/2. It looks good , but do NOT leave it in the line of sprinklers , I made that mistake and started to get rust marks on the flagstone patio in just a few days . The runners will fill with water ( from rain or sprinklers ) and although the aluminum doesn't rust the nuts and bolts do. It does look good , and if I get 2 or 3 seasons out of it before it rusts away , I'll be happy. Call me back in 2 years.

I've been looking for a glider for some time. Unfortunately they've all been too big, too heavey, or too expensive. I was lucky enough to find this one here while they were having a free shipping weekend. There are a number of reasons I like this glider. It is light enough we can move it easily. The seat material dries quickly so a fast wipe after the rain and you can sit on it again without getting a wet bum, and no cushions to worry about. It looks nice and the neutral colors go with most things. It was pretty easy to put togther, once you figured out the directions. There's only a picture with lots of arrows. I was a little worried when I first saw that, but after studying it for a couple minutes it wasn't a problem. I was also happy to find there are 1 or 2 extra of each piece of hardware. (nuts,bolts, washers, etc.) I quickly put it together without my husbands assistance. What don't I like about it? It doesn't glide quite as smoothly as I'd hoped. Don't get me wrong it glides nicely just not as smoothly as some I've tried, Then again it did't cost 300.00 either. Putting a little oil on the ball barings in hanger piece helped though. My daughter says it just needs to be "broke in", so perhaps it will improve with time. Overall I'm very happy with it and am glad I bought it.
