This little white bookshelf/cubbie looks great in my daughter's shabby chic bedroom (she is 2 :) It holds her stuffed animals, a few books, and her diaper baskets, which is what I wanted. I wanted to be able to display a few cute things as well. I loved the scalloping at the bottom because it really fit in well with the theme of her room and wasn't boring straight lines. I also have the Cheryl 2 drawer nightstand which looks great in the room as well! However, the one issue is that it took my husband (who is usually pretty handy) almost 2 hrs to put this together, so just be aware of that. And after it was put together, it was super wobbly, so we had to add something to one of the legs to make it not wobble. Overall, I'd still purchase it again because it was a great value and exactly what I was looking for, but I just wanted to mention this.
It was very easy to put this Unit together I didn't need help from my husband until the end.. It was way too heavy for me to lift it when it was complete. It is really beautiful, and looks like a high end piece of furniture. As always, my experience with Overstock was terrific.
I purchased this item in part because of the described size. It was listed as being 69 inches tall. There was was even a a question in the Q and A section asking for verification of the size. Overstock's answer was that they checked with the manufacture who confirmed that 69.3 inches was correct. I am thinking that Ameriwood gave the wrong information. I even looked on other sites to verify the size and they all had same info. Sigh. I would not have purchased this item if I knew the size. So buyer beware. I have ordered from overstock in the past and was happy.
