This is a basic tv stand which goes with any type of environment, which is why I like it. I don't trust myself to put things together, so I got a handyman to do it. He charged me $50! I bought the item for $60! Well, it's together now anyway, and it's very sturdy and nice looking. Very basic. the back is easy to see and I have a lot of cords and things going from the tv, so I bought black drawer liners and cut them to fit the negative space in the back of the tv console, to hide the cables. I applied them with velcro. This works very well. All in all, I am very pleased with my purchase. Much better than the old, outdated tv base that I had before.

    I received this yesterday and had my neighbor help me as I read in other reviews it is helpful to have 2 people doing this. #1, the materials are crap. #2, heaven forbid you use a drill to screw ANYTHING in. No matter what we did, we could not get the end sections to align properly and determined the "wood" was warped. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS.

  • You get what you pay for

    This TV stand works for me. I wanted something black, inexpensive, and an open design to hold all of my equipment...something I can not feel bad about giving away for free on craiglist. However, the quality is definitely not great, so if you are picky, find another TV stand. The pattern of the "wood" is odd. Up close, it almost looks like it has gray splatter paint covering it. From 5-10 feet away, it looks better. The corners aren't totally aligned. Basically, it's just not high quality. But again, I'm happy with it because it fits my needs and budget right now. I imagine it would be great for students, young 20-somethings just getting a new apartment, dudes who don't care about having super fancy furniture, etc.
