great dresser!
My fiance and I bought this as our first dresser. We love it! Both of us love working with our hands, so putting it together was not a problem because we had our tools prepared. However, the instructions that came with our dresser were a little wrong. We were having a difficult time getting the drawers to feed on to the tracks and noticed the instructions told us to put the tracks on backwards. Also, a few times the instructions tell you to put dowels in the place the screws should go. It was easy to figure the last one out, but the tracks were a little confusing. If you are purchasing this dresser be prepared with a cordless drill, rubber mallet, pliers (for getting dowels out when they tell you to put them in the wrong place) and a hand held flat head screw driver to lock the locking bolts in place.

nice chest of drawers
This is a nice solid piece of furniture. It blends well with some other antiques in the room. Minor damage on shipment and a bit of a pain to assemble but we are happy with the chest.

Buy something else
I purchased this dresser based on my previous experiences with Overstock.com pieces. This dresser, however, was terrible. The instructions were extremely difficult to interpret and left out a lot of steps. I am not a novice at assembling furniture, but this was the worst. In fact, the compressed sawdust dowels broke, are not of consistent length, and were either too small or too large for the holes. The screws are so cheap they begin to disintegrate when you use an electric screwdriver. I can usually whip through assembling furniture. I spent four hours and got so frustrated I packed the piece back into its box and thought I'd return it, until I found out that UPS will charge me to pick it up to return. I'm now going to give it to the Salvation Army for their rehabilitation center. I might as well have flushed my $$$ down the toilet.

Excellent piece for the price.
My husband and I are very pleased with this purchase. We had no problems putting it together, took us about an hour for each (we bought two). Despite the problems other reviewers have had, we found the instructions were clear and no parts were missing. One drawer was damaged and Overstock quickly sent us a replacement.

Don't buy. Just DON'T.
Long story short I will have to repair it (after 3 days of use) and give it away. This dresser is unbelievable. DO NOT BUY unless you seriously want to waste your money.

An ok product but terrible assembly
Just fyi, assembly tips are at the bottom of this review... Putting this thing together was a very frustrating experience and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. The assembly instructions are (as mentioned by other reviewers) terrible. They skip steps, tell you to do things that you actually have to undo later on etc. The hardware is of such a poor quality that it keeps breaking and adding to the frustration. Some of the holes were not predrilled in the right places and because you only had to move it a little, you didnt have the room to drill a whole new hole, more like expand the existing one - which makes the whole thing less sturdy. The final product is ok, but pretty masculine looking (and it comes from someone who hates girlie pink stuff). I am not impressed at all. ADVICE: If you decide that you absolutely must have this dresser - I highly recommend that you take the whole bag of hardware to the nearest hardware store and pay the extra money to have it all replaced with decent stuff (especially the wooden dowels). The included stuff kept breaking and stripping. ASSEMBLY TIPS: Step 1 of instructions is wrong. There is no cam bolt to tighten until you put them in the top part of the dresser. The little wheels on the runner should be facing the front of the dresser - in case you are wondering. Unless you buy high quality dowels, don't waste your time with the narrow front top bar until you are done with the assembly of the whole dresser frame - simply screw it in through the predrilled holes (a step skipped in the instructions). Hope this helps.

junk
This chest started to fall apart within the first week of putting it together. I can't even get the bottom drawer to stay on track anymore. Go to ikea. Their stuff is cheap but at least it holds up pretty well. And easier to put together.

Great price for the great look and the quality. They are beautiful, but it's cheaper than what you get from famous furniture stores around. We are very content.

Nice addition to bedroom
I was really impressed with this dresser. It is very well made and looks very nice for the price. However, the instructions are not very helpful. It was quite confusing so it took much longer to put together.
