This compressor is complete junk. I received it and the box had oil all over the outside and inside. When I pulled everything out, it was soaked in oil. I went to start and low and behold, nothing. I called the manufacturer and they said it was a blown motor. Told me to return to the original place of purchase and they would know what the deal was. This told me they have had this problem many times in the past.I returned the unit and ended up purchasing a Porter Cable 6 gallon pancake compressor for less than this one was. It's worked like a charm and has never given me an ounce of problems. The porter cable is also oil free operation, so you don't have to worry about it tipping and spilling when transporting.Whichever compressor you purchase, do yourself a favor and buy a good quality rubber hose to go with it. The hoses included in some kits are plastic junk and will crack and bust within 2 uses. A good hose will only run around 25 bucks and it will pay for itself in it's first use.
In favor - Overstock did, (within a week) refund my money. Item was on back order and they could not replace it. Not in favor- Product arrived with limited manual. 17 pages of Warnings and legal disclaimer. Very few pages about how to actually put together and actually use the compressor, and No pages about assembly of the accessories. Air Compressor arrived with broken motor cover. Broken cooling plate. Parts bag open and parts missing. Spilled oil was all over the unit.

We purchased for our son for Christmas. He wanted a self oiled system. He only has a small work shop and the system that you need to oil are very loud, when they run. He liked it and all the extra tools that came with it. He is just getting his tools for house and auto repairs started so this was a great gift to start with for him. We have had an air compresser for years and they are great for a lot of jobs around your home.
Pros: CMF and HP are tops for price "if" rating is modestly accurate. Everything worked fine, pressure at 110 psi as specified and actually quieter than I expected. This included a $10 or so hose with blow gun too. I'll know more as time goes by, but the quality seems fine for light duty. I chose this one for the compact size and power. Cons: Yes, as noted, a smallish 3 inch crack in plastic cover *shipping?), but of no significance. Also wheel opening needed to be a tad larger, so I just put a tap it and it worked perfectly, a common size tap matched the thread so the axle just screwed right in, no problem. Blow gun leak, but they sent me a replacement ASAP. My only complaint is that the pressure is a bit low at 110, wish it were higher, as most are at least 125 PSI. But overall, very happy for price and I knew from other reviews that I was taking a risk. If you have reasonable expectations you may be in luck with this...but it's my first compressor.
My cousin has turned this garage into a small workshop of his and needed a small air compressor that serve basic needs. Looked around for reviews and price comparison i thought this one has the best value and comes with sufficient accessories. I like Overstock's customer service so eventually i chose to buy from here. Turned out to be a good value purchase. My cousin likes it and says it works great with his air tools. He also mentioned the accessories are very useful.
