I have wanted this canner for a long time, but couldn't find the right price. Overstock delivered! The All American Pressure Canner/Cooker is of excellent quality and will give me many years of service.Read More
This canner is expensive, but boy is it worth it. Canning used to mean pulling up a chair in front of the stove, watching the gauges and adjusting the flame constantly. Not with this! I can actually do other things while my canner is doing its job.Read More
I found this product, then found it on *** the same day who could ship it faster. I contacted customer service to cancel the order and my request to cancel was refused because even though the product will not be shipped for another 6 days, they are unable to communicate with the warehouses unless it is to place an order. How ridiculous is that? Customer service refused to go the "extra mile" and contact the warehouse. They also refused to escalate the issue. Based on such horrible and feeble customer service that feigns empathy while being blatantly apathetic I would work with **** instead and for any future orders. I will not even try to purchase from Overstock again.Read More
Purchased this for my husband's birthday. Since I don't know anything about pressure cookers I did a lot of research first. This was the number one recommended brand. Great price!Read More
The pressure cooker I was sent by The O was used. One of the stickers was half removed. The cooker I received is defective. Steam leaks out between the lid & pot. The bobble does not work! Now I must spend shipping costs to return it when it should have never went out the second time. I suggest going straight to the foundry for purchase out of Wisconsin. Same price just higher shipping cost but they will ship a new one, not used,Read More
After reading everywhere online how the All-American canners were the top of the line highest quality canners you could buy I opted for the model 915. It arrived packaged well and at first seemed fine. Today however I looked at it more closely and I was shocked to see the quality of the workmanship was NOT what I expected. It is a heavy duty pc. of equipment for sure but the fit and finish leaves a lot to be desired. on mine the outside top edge of the pot portion was very rough, but the biggest thing was on of the handles, solid cast aluminum has a notch carved out of the corner with very sharp edges, it is supposed to be where the handles round at the corner but is cut out. I am returning it to the foundry for a new one but it makes me wonder if O.co is selling seconds. Now I have to send it in and then wait for a replacement from the company before I can can anything.Read More
Love the 915 Pressure Canner/cooker! Very nice piece of kitchen equipment. I am already using it to can vegetables from my garden. Works very well, and the quality is worth the price! Yes, it takes a few times to get used to clamping down the top, but it's worth the extra effort for the safety it gives. I opted for the smaller 915 version vs. the 921 as I do have a glass cooktop. I know the warnings state not to use it for such, but my cooktop is newer and has an extra large burner close to the corner, so it's well supported. My old hot water bath canner is much larger and never scorched or damaged my cooktop...so I thought I would give it a try...This is not a recommendation, as always---Safety First! Just wanted you to know, it worked for me! I'm so Happy! Nice job Overstock on packing it in the shipping box to protect it from damage! THANKS!Read More

I LOVE that there is no gasket and it works very, very, well. It has saved me a lot of time with all the canning that I do. I might even get one more. I think everyone who gets this and cans as much as I do will LOVE this product. It is well worth the price.Read More
Excellent product have used it constantly. I have processed two dozen quarts and 1/2 dozen pints thought this I have also used it to make soup, pickles, and roasted red peppers. Last year we lost food due to power outages during the storms and I was determined to find a better way and that led me to pressure canning. Stainless Steel Cookware Care
For chefs with strong opinions and a no-nonsense approach to cooking, stainless steel cookware is a popular choice. Prized for its resistance to staining, odors, and the transference of flavors, stainless steel cookware is a sound choice for any kitchen. It does require some special care, however, if you want to make the most of your pots and pans.
How to Care for Nonstick Cookware
You love your nonstick cookware, so take good care of it. Nonstick cookware has a special coating that can make your cooking healthier by reducing the amount of fat and oil you need to use in your cooking. A nonstick coating also makes it easier to clean your pots and pans, but improper care can ruin the nonstick coating, which causes foods to stick, makes cleaning more difficult and reduces the lifespan of your cookware. The following tips will help you care for your nonstick pans and keep them working like new. By properly caring for your nonstick cookware after each use, you can be assured it will last a long time and remain in good condition.
How to Season Stainless Steel Pans
While most cooks know that you need to season your food before it will taste good, new cooks might not know that you can also season your pots and pans. Seasoning is a process in which you prepare a pan or other cookware before you use it for the first time. When you season stainless steel pots and pans, you are filling the pores of the pan's surface with carbonized oil, which blocks the oxidation process and therefore keeps the cookware from rusting or pitting. In addition, seasoning helps to prevent food from sticking to the pan. The following steps will teach you how to season and protect your stainless steel pots and pans so they will last longer and work better.
Gemstone Treatment Guide
Most items that you come in contact with every day have been treated in some way: Clothes have been dyed, houses have been painted, and most wood has been pressure treated. Gemstones are not any different. When a gemstone is forming deep within the earth, natural heating and pressure occur. In order to bring more gemstones to the public, many companies continue that process with additional heating, pressure, or other treatment techniques. It is estimated that up to 80 percent of all gemstones have been treated in some way. The following codes and definitions are adapted from the American Gem Trade Association's Gemstone Enhancement Manual, Edition 6.1 June, 1997, which is the industry standard for disclosure to consumers.

Wooden spoons have health benefits as well, since wood is naturally resistant to many types of bacteria. Before you use wooden spoons, you should season them according to the manner in which you intend to use them. This will help them last longer, repel odors and perform even better.
How to Break in a Stainless Steel Frying Pan
Stainless steel frying pans are frequently used by professional chefs and serious cooks at home. Unlike cast-iron fry pans, stainless steel fry pans do not need to be seasoned before use; and unlike nonstick fry pans, you will need to use oil to avoid food sticking to the surface of your stainless steel fry pan and even then, some food will still stick. While these facts might seem like disadvantages, they're actually the reasons why many cooks prefer to use stainless steel fry pans. High-quality stainless steel cookware may not be the best for cooking things like eggs, but for the most flavorful searing of fish, meat and vegetables, stainless steel fry pans are unrivaled. The following steps will teach you how break in your stainless steel fry pan before each use.
