Squeaky bed
I set this bed up easily in under two hours by myself; a lot of that time was allocated to tearing down the packaging and recycling it. The bed is a nice black color, just as another reviewer already pointed out. The headboard is a bit flimsy as it merely slides into the leg extensions with no other form of securing it. All in all the bed looked very nice! Pleased with my purchase and a job well done putting it all together, that night I lay down in the bed with my partner hoping for a good night's rest. To my dismay, the bed squeaked loudly with even the slightest movement. With every toss and turn, SQUEAK!! Did I mention I weigh less than 130 lbs.?! So, if you are 5 and lucky enough to sleep in a queen sized bed or if you sleep with the stillness of a corpse, this is the bed for you! I would like to thank Overstock's customer support people; they are awesome, as always, but as for the bed, don't buy it.

Beautiful bed!
After reading some of the reviews that reported a "squeaky" bed, I decided to give a try (sometimes improper assembly can cause a frame to squeak.) My boyfriend and I assembled the bed without any trouble and I haven't had any problems with squeaking! The bed is easy to assemble, and if the instructions are followed correctly, you will have no squeaks. You won't regret this purchase!

Beautiful on the outside, horrible underneath
Just like someone mentioned here, the bed looked beautiful and easy to install alone. Every pieces were intact. After spending two hours installing it, I lay down and it squeaked. I thought of a way to sop it and then had to turn the spring box upside down with the wood facing up and the spring down. So that solved it. After I lay down with my partner, I realized that the bottom support was sliding. I had to take off the bed and screw it again and still it's not helping. Each time the bed moves, it slides bent. I'm afraid to even have sex on it cus that would be a disaster, but what good is a bed anyway if you can't throw yourself on it??? This is the worst purchase I ever did at Overstock!

great bed for the price
I half-expected this bed to be unstable, based on the low price. I was pleasantly surprised by the 2.5 to 3 inch high (i didn' t measure) sideboards (metal, not wood, but too tall/thick to be just "rails). I have not experienced any of the squeaking that other reviews have mentioned and have to wonder if the issue wasn't with the assembly. Assembly is with an allen wrench & all tools are supplied. Highly recommend!

Bed frame looks better in person.
I like this bed and so so does my daughter. It has a pleasant confrtable look to it. Not to much not to less. I read a revue where a woman said the bed squeaked very bad, I put the bed together following the directions and shook the heck out of it and no squeaks. That woman must of put the bed together wrong. Over all I am pleased with the purchase.

Alexandrie Queen-size bed
My husband and I put the bed together and I was glad that he could help because I needed the extra hands and muscle. It looks good. Not a 'substantial' looking bed, but right for a guest room. There is extra space at the head/foot of the bed so I needed to fill it in with a body pillow.
- How did the color on site compare with the actual product? The color was described as bronze, but it is not bronze. It is black with some highlights. I wish it was bronze!
- Please tell us about the quality of the product. Quality is good and the bed is sturdy.
