After reading MANY reviews on here, with thoughts that yes, it probably would shed for a few weeks, boy was I disappointed. My rug is STILL shedding after 3 months and at LEAST 25 vacuumings! In fact, I'm not sure it will ever stop! Yeah, it's thick and nice quality but unless you want your vacuum FULL of grey fuzz, and fear when people wear their shoes on the rug it will produce little wads of gray fuzz, try another zebra print wool rug. My first disappointing purchase on overstock.

I love how this rug looks, but it does shed A LOT! I had been shopping around for a zebra-print rug for a few weeks and this seemed like a good balance of black & white (the white is more of a warm ivory color than a stark white). The design is pretty symmetrical down the length of it. It has a plush feel underfoot but I've had to vaccuum it constantly! I hope it doesn't shed down to nothing...

I am so happy with this rug. It looks great and was thicker than I thought it would be. The quality is great. It sheds a little at first but I have found that with other wool rugs I have purchased. I would highly recommend this rug to anyone considering it.

I was on the fence about what kind of rug to put in my living room, I needed something contemporary but with that little extra flair. I found this rug but wasnt certain if it would work; but i ordered it because it was such a great value.I found rugs very similar to this one but the prices were anywhere drastically different ranging anywhere from 500 and up. Once i received it I instantly fell in love! The rug is absolutely beautiful. The wool is very plush and feels like heaven to walk on. Holds up great, I had a dinner party and the rug didnt even look dirty after having so many guests walking on it. If you order this you wont be sorry, you will have a great, stylish wool rug for years to come!

Only negative is the shedding which is bearable as long as you vacumn occasionally. I love this rug! it's been a favorite forever. My dog stained it so I am going to get a new one.

If this is what you get for hand woven wool rugs I will make sure I never get another one. This rug is soft but you walk away with a small stuff animal of carpet fibers all over you. I have vacuumed everyday since I got it and it still sheds, is this what to expect from hand weaved? Black/cream you should really change the color name. I really wanted a black/white rug and got this stuff animal maker instead I'm sad.

Fabulous rug especially for the money.Really wanted the "white" to be actually white.

I like the rug, it's dense and the quality seems good. Only had it a couple of weeks and it is still 'shedding' but hopefully that will end. I put the better grade non slip carpet pad under it so it feels even thicker.

I am thrilled with my new rug. It is soft and pretty. The first few days the excess fuzz was evolving and with a quick vac - it was beautiful again. The fuzz in gone and the look is great. I need a matching runner - 6' not 8'...hope to see it on the web soon...

I purchased this rug for use in a nursery, and I am very pleased. I was concerned the white would no be white enough, but even though it is not a bright white, it still looks good. It does shed some, but I don't think it is excessive. The quality seems to be very good. I am happy I purchased this rug. It really adds interest to the room. I would recommend this rug to others.

I love this rug, it's very well made and works perfect in our master bedroom. I purchased another smaller zebra rug for my office and couldn't be happier, my husband even likes them! People have commented about how this rug sheds, no big deal it vacuums right up and slowly stops shedding.

This rug is great...just like all the other reviews said. Very thick, color is great, not too white. Looks fabulous on the hardwood floor. There is some shedding like some of the other reviews said, but it is very minor to me compared to the quality. Shedding has already stopped after about 10 vacuums.Order it if you are looking for a nice quality rug.

At first, my wife and I were a bit hesitant about ordering a rug online. We were looking for a zebra rug, and when we saw the rug and the price, we couldn't resist. When the rug arrived, it looked amazing! We laid it down, and it felt wonderful! It was such a great deal, and the quality is outstanding! If you are looking for a zebra rug and don't want to spend that much money, this is the rug for you.

Nice rug for the money. However it does shed; but what wool rug doesn't? It had a funky smell once unwrapped, but after a day or two it was not an issue. Very quick shipping and packaged very well. If you are looking for a bold statement on the floor, this rug will do the trick!

I can't believe how good of a quality this rug is. Very plush. The only thing that bothers me is that the ends both tend to still "curl" up a bit from being rolled up so long. I am currently placing weighted objects on the ends to make them lay flat. Otherwise, this was a great additional to my room.

I'm very happy with my purhase. I was a bit worried buying something like this online. It would been very costly for me to send it back if it had been unsatisfactory. It is a beautiful rug and I believe a very good price.

I am very pleased with the quality of this rug as well as the appearance. I ended up using it in my office but it's the sort of accessory I'm sure I'll find all sorts of places to use in the future. Nice thick wool rug.
