Alexa Ultra Premium Natural Flokati New Zealand Wool Shag Rug (5' x 7')

Initially when I received this rug, I thought about returning it. It was packaged so tightly and rolled up so small that I know this could not be the 8' x 10' rug that I had purchased. However, I took it out of the wrapping and boy, am I glad. After shaking it out and lying it on the floor, I proceeded to brush, yes, brush the shag rug. Not only did this get out the fold lines, it also picked up the extra fibers that you get in any wool product, thus eliminating the shedding process. It looks spectacular against the hard-wood floor and I've received countless compliments. The greatest one of which is when someone says it looks so inviting and they stretch out on it in front of the fireplace. Excellent purchase!

Very happy with this rug - it's exactly what I was expecting. I bought another flokati from a different retailer and the quality is just not comparable. With the other one, I could see the base of the rug and every little weave. The one I kept from Overstock is full, fluffy and very attractive. It does shed, but that's what you get with a wool rug. After a while it will stop, but don't vacuum these! Only use a vacuum without a brush - suction is all you need.

This is a beautiful rug. Very clean. Does not collect dirt at all. All we do is shake it once a week. I bought a 5x7 to replace my old 8x10. Very glad I bought the smaller size. These rugs seem to look better a size down from what you buy in a wool rug. Looks beautiful in a contemporary setting and on my wood floors. It does shed some as you would expect but not to the point of being a problem.
