I purchased this rug after waiting over a week to hear back regarding any chemicals or flame retardants used (I have an infant). They said no. When I got the rug, it smelled very strongly of chemicals that would wear off on my baby's blankets. I thought it would vaccuum out but it did not. I returned it and got another one that had the same smell. If not for the smell, the rug would have been great. I liked the Thyme color and feel. I would recommend getting a pad with it as it is thin.

We got this rung for a bedroom that will be decorated mainly in black and white, so the color is perfect for the room. The pile is just right not too much of a shag.

This is a great rug for the price and material. I want to stress the "for the price and material" part. This rug is made of synthetic material for about a quarter of the price of a wool rug, so if you are comparing this rug to a 100% pure wool rug you will be disappointed. It is not overly thick, but getting a heavier-duty rug pad underneath makes it great to walk and play on. (I purchased it for a child's room.) It looks wonderful in the room, is a great size for the price, and I won't freak out if something spills on it - what more can you ask for?

• How did the color on site compare with the actual product? I purchased the white. It is not a super bright white (like a piece of computer paper), but not an off white / ivory either. There are so many variations of "white" but it blends in well with the white trim in the room.
• How accurate was the on site description of the product? The size was slightly smaller than 8x10. We had to cut the 8x10 rug pad we purchased to go underneath it about 3 inches horizontally and vertically to get it to fit. Not a huge deal but just something to be aware of.

I was impressed with how quickly my rugs shipped and love the convenience of having them arrive at my front door. My only regret is the catalog did not list the color HUNTER GREEN; the image depicted showed a medium hue of the color and labeled it as GREEN, which is what I wanted. Instead, I received the darker hue.

We have been looking around for a rug for our new house. There is a bit of a trend right now in the fluffy, super soft rugs. We ordered this rug thinking it was going to be close enough to the high end/quality ones mentioned in the stores above. Shipping was quick and I was certainly pleased when it arrived. I opened out the package and quickly changed my mood. The rug is low quality. The pile is low quality, it is machine made and the density of the pile is poor. There are various spots all over the rug where you can see through the pile down to the matt it is attached to. It doesn't matter how much you fluff the pile, you can still see the matt underneath. The picture of the product on the site is really misleading because it is taken on an angle with the camera tiled. When you walk up to this rug or look at it in person, it doesn't come close to what the picture is showing. The picture makes it look like there is literally at least twice the piule density that there actually is. I plan on returning this rug right away. It is sad because I really was hoping it would work. Then again, I should have known better because this seems like one of those things...you get what you pay for. This is a cheap rug in cost which echos the quality.

I paniced when I first saw the rug. I didn't know what to think because the reviews were from one extreme to the other. When I unwrapped the rug my heart sank. It looked very cheat. Once I got it layed out in the living room and fluffed out over the pad, it looks very nice. My puppy loves it. I am very happy with it too. It is true that it is not a very expensive rug, but it is nice for the price.

The rug arrived very promptly, and it had a different label on it. before I opened it I called customer service. The label said Bobo Shag, rather than Alexa My soft and plush. The Customer Service person, couldn't tell me if it was the correct rug, and advised me to open it to find out. Well we put it in my son's room. It isn't as shaggy as in the picture, the pile is shorter. The color is good, and I guess we will keep it rather than going through the hassle of sending it back and finding another rug. Very disappointed though! The other issue is that it is strong smelling, have to open the window to air out room, which is less than desirable in Upstate NY in the winter.

Purchased this rug after an exhaustive search for just the right rug! Ordered the rug in the dark brown option. It came rolled up. Unrolled it and after about a week, the creases were gone. It's a very soft material, the pile is not too high. Have vacuumed it twice and the rug didn't shed. The edges are bound nicely. There was/is no new carpet smell either. I really love this rug!!

I was very disappointed when this rug arrived. The quality was terrible. The rug was thin and not plush as described. It was not comfy to walk on because you could feel and see the backing. The binding on the corners was coming unraveled. This looked like cheap carpet. The only positive remark I have is the color. I ordered white and it was a nice pretty white. Overstock was easy to work with and made returning the rug easy. Lesson learned, you get what you pay for.
