This rug is not even close to what is described. The shag is barely 1" not 1.5" as labeled. It does not even come close to being as thick as the pictures. The label on the underside say it is made by Bogoshaggy. When standing on top of it you can see thru the shag to the matting. If I was not having furniture delivered, that was going on top of it, the next day I would have returned it. It is an ok rug but it is not what I was expecting.

WIth the exception of the color I was very pleased with the carpet. I did call Customer Service to see if they had any additional info on the color but although they were very helpful with a number of questions - they had no more info on the color than was available on the website. If I wanted a grey carpet I would buy this rug -- if you want a silver (light grey) rug, I would look elsewhere. The rug was delivered in a matter of days and was well wrapped. I have ordered lots of items from Overstock.com and have always been very very pleased with everything. Would recommend the rug wholeheartedly if you are comfortable with the color selection.

• How did the color on site compare with the actual product? They color is described as silver but it is a medium to dark grey. The actual label on the carpet when it arrived showed "grey". It is not charcoal, but it is definitely not silver. More of a stone grey.

Received this rug and were very excited when it arrived. The plastic wrapping was ripped a little when delivered and there wash a little dirt on a corner, but not too bad so we kept it & laid it on the floor. We purchased a pretty thick pad as recommended by a previous review. Glad we did as the rug is thin, but perfect with the thick pad also purchased from Overstock. The rug was a great choice for us as we have 2 children 6 & 11, along with 2 large dogs & a cat. It is wearing well no visible signs of ware. The rug looks the same as the day it arrived. I would recommend.

I looked everywhere for a shag rug that wouldn't shed, was not too long or too short a fiber, was 9x12, and was a chocolate brown. This is the perfect fit. It is incredibly soft, has the perfect length fibers (1.5", I believe), vacuums easily and doesn't shed at all. Although it probably doesn't need a rug pad, I'm going to buy one just to preserve the life if this area rug as I absolutely love it.

I love this rug...I did get the underlying pad which makes it more cushy, and also rug backing is rough, so has potential to scratch hardwood floor. This 9 x 12 size, well, IT is HEAVY, so putting this size rug on top of the rug pad evenly and under the bed would be difficult as a one person job. UPS didn't quite get it all the was to the front door and packaging was ripped.

At first site I was a little disappointed in the material, however once I rolled it out and walked on it I had no regrets. I got the 9x12 in white for my bedroom and am really pleased with it. It brightens up the room.

Purchased this rug in Cocoa- color is just as described. Very soft, thick pile. KIds (and dogs) love it! All I need is to purchase a pad from Overstock and I am all set!

I have been looking for an area rug for quite some time, but didn't want to spend TONS of money on one. I have a lot of foot traffic in my house and wanted a nice rug, but didn't want to spend alot of money. This area rug totally fits the bill. The quality is good and is what I expected. I had another rug in the same room, but wasn't thrilled with it and is a little smaller than the 9 X 12 that I ordered, so instead of purchasing a pad for underneath the rug, I just put this rug over the other one and it works nicely. The ends of the rug need to relax and uncurl, but I assume in a couple of days that this will take care of itself. Without spending an arm and a leg on carpet, this carpet is GREAT!!! I would recommend this to anyone who wants a nice area rug but doesn't want to put a major dent in your wallet. I have bought several items from Overstock and have been satisfied with each purchase I've made. I will continue to use the O website before I go anywhere else.

I read the reviews and decided to take a chance. I purchased the 9x12, gold rug. The reviews said the gold rug was not actually gold and more of an oatmeal color. This is correct, I wanted an oatmeal color. I love the color but NOT the shag! SO DISAPPOINTED!! The shag is NOT a 1.5 inch pile and by no means is it "plush". This looks and feels like a cheap Dollar General carpet!! I can not believe how thin the carpet is....the smaller rugs may be more plush; however the 9x12 is not! I have no idea how to return this huge rug! I've ordered several rugs from overstock in the past and was very pleased with the quality. This rug was a huge dissapointment!

I thought this was going to be one of those unbelievably soft rugs that I felt at Living Spaces (same brand, I believe) -- but it wasn't. That being said -- it looks great in our room - good quality - no weird smell or shedding. I have a good quality rug pad under it and it's great.

Should of looked at more reviews and been more skeptical. Maybe i am more particular in my idea of a shag carpet. The picture looked great and the pile description sounded good. I ordered 2 of these and 2 pads. Big mistake. The rugs were very sparse and you can even see the bottom of the rug through the shag. I should of realized that the thin strands of the rug were just not going to cut it. Anyways I just couldn't bear to keep them so i sent them back and the pads too because there was no way i was going to order a shag rug again online and get taken, Return shipping for all four items set me back a good amount. One of the biggest mistakes in online shopping that i have done. Lesson learned. Some things you just have to see to buy. Found 2 shag rugs a warehouse store 1 week later and they were so thick and fluffy i wish i had found them earlier. Only taking the time to rate this buy because the 2 other rugs I bought on this site match the description well but this item is rated way too high for qualiity for some reason.

This rug is a light gold. I love it better, because it made my dark wood floor stand out. It is easy to keep clean and vacuums beautifully. This is a definite A+ for my livingroom.

The color just wasn't close enough. It was kind of like taking a drink of a soda expecting an orange soda and tasting a cola. It works in the room, just not what I was hoping to see. I understand that monitors will show different colors but with it being described as silver, I really didn't expect an oxidized silver.
