    The chairs are a beautiful deep red, and the quality is very good. only issue was that the website did not specify the height , other than "kitchen counter height" . these came in at a seat height of 30 inches , whereas we needed 26. So instead of returning these, we cut 4 inches off the bottom to make it the height we wanted. We love them, but giving a 4 star due to the extra work we had to put in.

  • Hi, I ordered these chairs and the assembly is a MESS. I easily attached the legs, but the slots for the stretcher that goes across the of the chair are higher than the already assembled stretcher in the back of the chair,and the picture of the chair here shows the opposite. On my chair, the front stretcher is set higher than the back stretcher. But that's not a huge problem, at least the front stretcher fits. Problem: the side stretcher slots (right and left) for each stretcher are not parallel to each other. For example, the right side stretcher: The slot for it on the back right leg is MUCH higher than the slot for it on the front right leg, so the stretcher angles sharply downward to the front when I try to fit it into its slot. Both ends do NOT fit in at the same time. This is not a complicated assembly, so I don't think I should be sweating over slotting in the stretcher legs. They should fit and it shouldn't take a genius. Is this how they're supposed to be? Please confirm which end of the right stretcher goes to the back and which goes to the front, and if the side with the wood screw holes are supposed to face down or up. And most of all please explain why the right stretcher won't fit the right side slots, and why the right side slots are set at different points in the back and front legs, so the front slot is MUCH lower than the left and the stretcher would angle sharply down even if it could fit, which it doesn't. I hope there's an answer because the box for these is HUGE and I don't look forward to packing it up for a return. Nor, if they are defective, do I think I should pay for a return. I just want to finish the chairs. Thanks.
