Reading about how well the Holmes air purifier works, I am pleasantly surprised at how quiet and efficient it is at a decent price. It rattled at first, but picking it up and gently gently shaking it loosened whatever was rattling and since then it's been perfect. I recommend it highly.

I just had to replace this with exact same model after 5+ yrs. 24/7 running, and regular cleaning, replacing charcoal pre-filter as needed, and own -1- Maine Coon Cat Mix. I consider the 5+ yrs. of continuous use as an acceptable lifespan in my case, but I did purchase the extended 2 year warranty this time just in case. Noticed a remarkable air quality improvement once I got it situated again, and having to go a solid week without a HEPA Air Purifier made my allergies flare-up and it's still Winter.
