  Although I was hesitant about purchasing a "refurbished" product, I am glad I did. The air conditioner was packed well and looked brand new. All the instructions came with it making assembly easy. It works as if brand new.

  It's incredibly hot here in Arizona all Spring and Summer long. We already have a swamp cooler on the main floor, but needed something for my bedroom. I was looking for a portable unit that I could move from the office to the bedroom without issue, and decided to go with the Luma unit because of the design. It seemed like a good deal for the price, and after a summer of use, it's AMAZING! It was easy to set up. Just fill the water tank and plug the unit in. I really like the remote control and the size of the unit. It's also very quiet, making it perfect for the bedroom. I highly recommend this unit, particularly if you live in a dry climate, like we do here. It's worth every penny!

  This cooler has a better fill level design than the older model I had. Much easier to see the water level. It is easy to operate and is not really noisy. I do wish it had an automatic shut off when it runs out of water but the water tank is sufficient for5 hours or so. I am in a very dry climate so it does work very well.

  Love the first guy's (from Florida) review. I purchased it based on his review and he was right! (May 2011) I am a long-time customer of Overstock.com, since 2004. They are my go to shopping online. Next is ******.com. That is if Overstock.com doesn't have the item. :) I love Overstock's customer service, products, price and return policy. They are the best in customer service!

  When the air conditioner arrived one of the wheels was broken, but I got a hold of customer service and they had the warehouse send a replacement wheel. I read other reviews on other websites about this product, the hose in back where the air filters out should not be stretched out. The reason was that when it's stretched out the tube warms up and defeats the purpose of the air conditioner. So, un-stretched the air conditioner works wonderfully... and it was desperately needed.. despite it being refurbished this works better than I expected.
