  This Heater is so small and feels like you really got taken advantage of when you receive it. The only positive factor is the real flame and log display otherwise its just not worth ordering. It does not heat well and is just not represent what is being potrayed online.

  I bought this unit Jan 2012 used it a few nights. This year the weather in Chicago quite warm till last couple of weeks ago. I turned on the unit and it gave me error. When I called Bear, they told me to try some of the steps but none work. The unit is under warranty but they told me I have to ship the unit back to them on my own expense which will cost me another $50. I would think Bear will take responsibility on their defective unit. This turn out to be more expensive than I bought a heater from local store.

  I am only rating this as poor as I cannot really attest to how it actually would work. It came with the front glass loose and after using it for about a day it was flicking on and off. I am assumming that it was damaged during shipment. Return was easy.

  It was definitely higher quality than I expected and a bit bigger than i thought it would be. Love the remote control!
