This table is beeeeeeeuuutiful! I bought the server,from overstock, and then i found out they had the table. i also bought 4 leather chairs from overstock (Rome leather dining room chairs), and they match superbly! Matches the Aiden server perfectly. Lovely wood, heavy and ample room. It could probably seat 8 people if needed though seating four gives guests a lot of room. the color is kind of a cherry and it was pretty simple to put together. i did it all by myself, but i would recommend that there are two people to put it together. i am very satisfied!

This table is beautiful and solid. It does have a checkerboard top, but it isn't overly done and still looks like a very formal table. I use it in the kitchen and the size is amazing - would comfortably seat 8. It was easy to assemble, but two people are definitely needed as the top is very heavy.

This is a big table and yes, you can fit eight people at it if need be. It comes in two boxes of which two people can move easily. One person can move it with some struggle. You have to put this table together. The product was mis-drilled so I had to drill a new hole through the table to attach one of the legs. If I didnt have a drill or drilling skills the table would have had to go back. One leg also had a mis-pressed screw attachment. Again, if I didn't have repair skills it would have had to go back. The product is wood veneer over particle board. It's nice but you won't be leaving it to your grandkids. It should last a few years, less with kids.

For months, I searched for a 54" square table that wasn't counter height. I couldn't tell from the pics that the veneer on the top is laid in a 9 square checkerboard pattern. I wasn't thrilled when I pulled it out of the box, but now, that I have it up and am using the table daily, it really looks nice and actually helps the table blend with the surrounding cherry cabinets.

This table is so much more than I expected, it's a good size, larger than I thought, we were able to fit 8 people on this table comfortably at Christmas. I love this table, I got a lot of compliments! Great price too for what you get.
