I have had this set for about a year now and it has held up to our Family of 6's heavy daily use. The table is very heavy/solid construction. Assembly was pretty easy--though 2 people are needed for the weight of the pieces. The table surface is a bit easier to mar and scratch, but placemats have helped to keep that at a minimum. I did have a damaged top upon delivery and Overstock was excellent at replacing the top very quickly for me. Their customer service is exceptional! The chairs are very comfortable and perfect for wiping down easily (great for kids). It is a very large table and can accommodate up to 8 chairs, but is more comfortable with 6 (you can push the chairs under easier)--and the storage drawer and bottom shelf are perfect for extra linens (and I added baskets underneath for storage of excess kitchen items). It was a fantastic value--I get lots of compliments on the set--and how can you beat FREE shipping? especially for such a heavy set!!! No regrets!
