Easy to assemble and looks great! For whatever reason, though, I thought this was a platform bed and I would not need a box spring. However, you definitely need a box spring for this. With just a regular mattress, you see where the headboard begins - there a empty space from which you can see the wall from the top of the mattress to the bottom of the headboard. Be careful of the footboard. Not sturdy enough to rest a foot on it when you are getting dressed. Overall, though, looks great and a great value.Read More
THE BED LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE THE PIC. IT IS VERY CLOSE TO FLOOR, CAN'T PUT THINGS UNDER MY BED ANYMORE! THE SLATS THAT SUPPORT IT ARE NOT VERY STRONG. BE CAREFUL WHEN ASSEMBLING TO MAKE SURE ALL SCREWS ARE TIGHT AND SCREW THE SLATS DOWN TO THE FRAME, IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE!!!! I LOVE THE BED ENUFF TO HVE SOMEONE MAKE NEW STRONGER SLATS OUT OF SOME BETTER WOODRead More
The bed frame arrived in just 4 days. Ordered on a Sunday and was available for deliverey on Thursday. Easy to put together. Looks nicer than the picture. I was concerned it would look cheap and was very pleased when it was assembled. New mattrress looks great on it. If you are looking for a high end piece, this is not it. If you re looking for a nice, moderately priced bed frame, this is good choice.Read More
I purchased this some time ago and just opened box this past weekend and set it up, I couldn't be happier. I wanted simple and yet modern and it is that. I would suggest, if you purchase and are setting up a foam bed (no box spring), that you add a plywood or underlayment board over the slats before you lay your mattress down, it will offer better support for your mattress.Read More
While I realize the price is fairly low and I shouldn't have expected a high-quality bed, what I received was greatly disappointing. The vinyl was ripped, the headboard had a crack in it, and it arrived dirty and completely missing the second box of slats and rails. Good thing Overstock is much better with their customer service than with choosing the shipping company they use for oversized items, so I was able to receive a full refund without too much hassle. However, I was stuck with disposing of the useless headboard/footboard. And yes, it ended up in the dump. The parts I did receive didn't weigh much, and I can't imagine that, put together, it would have made a very sturdy king-sized bed anyway. Perhaps this would work for a guest room, but be forewarned, the quality is mediocre at best.Read More
