Saw this chair in a local Denver store. It was very high priced found on Overstock at a much better price. I just love it like a piece of art in the house.Read More
This chaise lounge is represented accurately as to color, size and construction. I am not having the problem other reviewers have mentioned...the neck roll. I just push it back over the headrest and use a small back pillow behind my neck. Quite comfortable for someone not too big (I'm 5 foot 3). I think that may not be the case for someone a good bit wider than I due to the armless design. I am happy with the purchase and it complements the rest of the MCM/modern furniture I have in my living room. It looks especially good next to my other recent purchase, a Christopher Knight oversized lime green club chair. The addition of the club chair makes the height of the chaise lounge seem much more in proportion. Overall, a good buy on both items, which were delivered in a timely manner, and were well protected in packaging that did not look like it came through a hurricane to get here!Read More
Product was delivered within 5 days of order. Package/box was in good condition. Anyone complaining about the box not being perfect when shipped is just ridiculous. Its a giant chaise lounge chair being shipped in a cardboard box, not a wooden crate, lets get realistic here. The chair its self is easy to assemble even without instructions. The only tool you need is a large size hex key/allen key to assemble (you can get a set at a dollar store). Little black paint marks on the chrome, but were scrapped off easy with a fingernail, no fuss. My only complaint was that when the feet were attached to the bottom frame, the frame was already wrapped in plastic, so there are little pieces of ripped plastic stuck between the feet and the legs where they connect. I just took a long candle lighter to them and burnt most of it off, but was kinda annoying. Chair is comfortable for short periods of time (hour or less), long time use (like hour or more) not so much. Really though, you're buying this for the look, not the comfort. Would recommend to friends and buy another one eventually if needed/wanted.Read More
My package came with the base sticking out of the box. The thing looked like it had been chewed up by a dog with holes everywhere. Installation was easy enough but the quality was just horrendous: - the base is wobbly - the base is rusted in several spots - the base has paint chips and scratches everywhere - the chrome is really just a dull silver color - the chair always rides down because the rubber bars do not produce enough friction - the leather padding is too short for the chair and is likely to rip after some time In terms of comfort, it's not bad. The headrest is rock hard but other than that, I can sleep in it. I'm 5' 9'' and I find it's just the right size for me, with no spare room for my legs or body width. If you buy it, expect to hide it when guests are over. It's not too bad for reading and such. It's really not worth the price though.Read More
Just received my new chaise lounge. I had experienced a bit of buyer's remorse once the transaction was in motion, but any thoughts of regret disappeared once the chair was assembled. It's a beautiful piece of furniture and VERY comfortable. As others have mentioned, the box was totally mangled when it got to my house, but the pieces inside were well-wrapped and undamaged. The "pillow" may only add to the aesthetic features of the chair; it certainly isn't comfortable or useful. There were no instructions for assembly, but it was SO SIMPLE to put together that I didn't miss them. All in all I am thrilled with this purchase.Read More
Since I got this excellent copy of the classic Le Corbusier chaise lounge, my back has felt a lot better. This thing is ridiculously comfortable. What Ive figured out (since I have a bad back) is that when I am reclining in in, there is very little body weight pushing down on my lower vertebrae. I can sit her for hours without feeling any lower back pain -- and that is something I cant say about any other chair Ive ever sat in.Read More
I originally saw this chair on HGTV's Divine Design, but I knew there was no way I could afford that chair. Fortunately Overstock.Com had a similar one. From reading the previous reviews I knew the headrest pillow was going to be hard, and it is. The only other complaint I would have with the chair is that once you sit in the chair it gradually reclines. Would be nice if there was a locking adjustment to keep the chair in a upright position. It would also be nice if the chair would be available in other colors. The assembly was very easy, and I'm glad since no instructions were included. Overall a great chair and conversation piece when guest come over to my house.Read More
I placed an order for this on Sunday, I received it on Wednesday morning. Assembly was ridiculously easy and I was very very pleased with how it was packaged to prevent from shipping damage. (Fedex left it at the door without telling me, which annoyed me but that's not Overstock's fault). The box was intact (a few hand sized holes probably made by Fedex guy to haul it off the truck), and inside, literally everything was wrapped in foam wrapping so nothing was scratched, it is perfect!! After I discovered it was here, I dragged the box inside and assembled it... the chair is real comfortable (I'm 5'5 120) and I don't have that problem with the pillow.. I have the straps set a little loose so it sits behind my neck not my head. I just finished putting it together, I don't want to sit in it until I get rid of this huge box... otherwise I wouldn't want to get up!! I absolutely recommend this chaise lounger, it's sexy, sleek, and comfortable!!!Read More
Pros and cons of others noted. Pkg. arrived undamaged. Easy to assemble except two cross bars had Allen hex screws that must have been inserted with pneumatic drill as used in Tire shops.Had to go down to mechanic to hold bars in vise in order to undew screws. The lowest webbing nails kept falling out when lying in chaise. Had to rebend those to stay, or because of heaviest weight stress should be reinforced. Height adjustment can be made by slliding on rubber ribbed crossbars. Rubber should be heavier and ribbed better so doesn't slide once recliined. Head rest a joke. Padding is to hard, and flexes the neck forward which is not good for cervical vertebrae and also narrows windpipe if sleeping. Solved headrest with small U shaped traveller's pillow from Bed Bath nd Beyond which is filled with micro poly beads which mold the pillow to head weight.Easier on neck and much more comfortable. Best part is curvilinear design ( much like hospital bed) which shaped reclined body in almost ZERO Gravity position. Now use chaise as a bed as it relleves back pain and muscle soreness in morning. Lengthy lying time is uncomfortable because width of chaise is too narrrow. Solved this by taking twin thermoplastic topper and laid it over the chaise with gel/foam seat pad under the butt. Width of topper supports arms and permits more lateral movement. Now it really is a necessary item. Its not that cosmetic anymore but it really reduces back and neck pain more than any other thing I've tried. It is a Godsend for back pain.Read More

How far back the chair reclines? Is it comfortable to lay in it? Thanks.
Hello boomerbrownie1, If you look at the picture there is a bar on the bottom of the chair. Those bars are how the chair reclines. The chair will slide all the way back. Your legs will stay slightly elevated. This is a very comfortable chair. Thank you for shopping with us!
