I purchased 4 of these to go with my outdoor wooden bar. They are much larger than I expected so I'm now looking for a bigger bar! If it matters to you, look closely at the provided measurements as they are real. The finish is a little oily and ready for the outdoors. They have an odd smell, but after being outdoors for a bit it goes away. I assembled 2 of them myself and found it quite easy because I used a power drill with phillips as well as allen head bits. If you intend to do these by hand you will not have fun. My husband did the second 2. I'll rate ease of assembly by the number of curses that came from my him. Most items rate around 6 to 8 curses, while these were a 1 curse project. (I think he had a brief moment where something didn't line up immediately but he worked it out quickly.) Amazing! They are sturdy and very substantial feeling. I am looking forward to many hours of enjoyment in these, with a cold beverage in hand. Cheers!

Once the chair was assembled it looked like a good chair but once I sat on it the chair I noticed that it has a very upright sitting position not normally associated with an Adirondack style chair and my elbows don't reach the armrest unless you sluch or lean to one side. Overall not a very comforable chair.

I purchased 2 of these chairs. One was broken when I got it and the other ok. I put the good one together in about 45 mins. The chair's sitting position is very up right. I did not feel relaxed will sitting in the chair.

I ordered the chair for a gift. We were very pleased with it. It is very sturdy. We looked at the prices of bar stools and chairs online and this chair was very inexpensive in comparison. It is a great bar chair for the money.

I bought two of these chairs about a year ago. They have held up beautifully in the backyard, uncovered in the rain (no snow where I live). I agree with the review that they feel very upright when you sit in them, so after I assembled them, I trimmed a little off the back legs to make them tilt back a little and they are perfect now. I didn't take any stars off for that because some people may really like the upright feeling, especially sitting at a bar. The first chair assembled very easily. The second chair I had more trouble with as the holes didn't line up well, so I gave them only 4 stars because of that. They are very sturdy and very pretty. I plan on buying 2 more now that they've passed the test of time. They are a great bargain for the price.
