Bought 2 of these, both do NOT work. Do not purchase these.

I gave it 5 stars because it does what it's supposed to do...find studs. It's pretty cheaply made, though. So, if you're looking for something that will last forever, you should keep looking. Mine came with a battery, but it had expired in 2007 and didn't work, so I had to go buy a 9 volt battery for it. No big deal though. It works fine now.

This is a neat gadget. It really works. There was no problem finding the studs with it, I would recommend it for household use. As for commercial use, I think not.

I bought this for a gift for my husband to give him on Father's Day, so I don't know exactly if it works to his satisfaction, but it seems like a neat tool. I'm positive that he will enjoy it and use it to hang pictures that we have had in storage for some time.

Accurate Stud Finder Electronic Detector is not accurate. it is cheaply made and finds the studs at incorrect places. sometimes it beeps and sometimes it doesn't at the same place. So I am never sure weather stud is present or not.

This item is not accurate at all, came with no instructions on how to use and I have no idea what the for lights and all the beeps mean. I tried testing it out in my closet and could not find a stud at all and in the bathroom I was getting inconsistencies. One try I would get no stud and I would try again and this time there would be a stud and when I nail in... All drywall. Just dont waste your time with this piece of crap.
