The product description gives the mattress density as "5.3" but does not specify pounds after it. Can you, with certainty, confirm that this is a 5.3 LB density mattress and assure us that the manufacturer isn't using deceptive language and giving the weight of 2 cubic feet of memory foam?

We ordered this mattress for our son for his new college apartment. It comes in 3 pieces so it was very easy to pack up and take to school. It has worked out very well for him. He says it is the most comfortable mattress he has ever had. However, because it is memory foam, it does not "breathe" like a regular mattress and on hot nights it can be very hot.Read More
Good product for the price. Great product for the price in fact. Comfy, I have the memory foam as the top layer, but I can always switch around the configuration if that is too soft... Lightweight, I actually don't have a bedframe and in the summers can sleep out on my rooftop deck, this thing is easily move-able by one person. I actually had this in mind as a full size mattress fits well into a tent for camping or in the back of my camper on my pickup truck... I plan to take at least one of the three layers on my next camping trip. Indeed, when I have house guests I could (I already have a spare bed so I don't need to do this but... maybe for my next slumber party!) use one of the layers as another guest bed. Anyways, I think if you are on a budget and want a super comfy versatile bed there is no question this is a good deal. Lots and lots of plastic when I got it. I've never seen so much plastic. Alas. As for the smell, I mean, yeah, I could smell it... I opened the windows for an hour and all was well.Read More
I think people overlook this, because it is shown for a camper. That is what makes it great. It comes in 3 pieces, each layer is a different firmness. You can arange them in the order that you like, to get the perfect comfort level for yourself. The memeory foam layer is a very high grade. It's also easy to move around and set up is very easy. This is the second one I've bought. I"m very pleased with the first one I purchased 6 months ago.Read More
Terrible quality!!! I bought this memory foam mattress and initially liked it like most of the other reviews, but soon the mattress sank down in the middle where I slept and didn't spring back up - they call it compression. I called the company for a warranty and they made me measure the amount of compression, take pictures, send the receipt and even then only offered a partialy warranty. I would have had to pay 50% of the cost of a new one. NO THANKS!!! Why would I buy pay half price of a cheap quality mattress that would probably be ruined in less than a year?? ADVICE: stay away from Memory Gold - splend $25 more for any other brand, probably a much better mattress.Read More
I tell you what,I have never seen so much plastic on mattresses in my entire life. You have to pull and kick to get the matress out of the box,but it DOES come out. I didnt like that it was in 3 pieces. I also didnt like the fact that they HAVE to set out for a few days to take shape and to rid itself of some of that Ewww smell. Other than those three little things, they sleep very well.Read More
It is a bit soft due to the memory foam. I'm not picky so it's fine I'm i it for the comfort which it more than provides. When put on a full bed frame( a platform frame bought on overstock) there is a noticeable bit of room nothing a duvet/comforter can't hide.It doesn't slide though there is space which is good. Overall good mattress.Read More
The memory foam is great, i will be buying another one soon for my daughter.Read More
This mattress was purchased for my 14 year old daughter and it is very, very firm. The mattress is on a platform bed but I don't think that has anything to do with the firmness. There is almost no 'give' in the mattress, thank goodness my daughter likes it. I have a conventional mattress with a three inch memory foam topper and it is much softer than this mattress. I'd say if you want a very firm memory foam mattress you will like this one very much, otherwise find something else.Read More

I would like to take advantage of the sale price, but I am moving in a month. Can I buy today, and have it shipped on a specific date in the future? I understand the mattress comes wrapped tightly and compressed. Will it ruin the mattress to leave it in its packaging for the month between now and when I move?

Best Pillow-top Mattresses for Back Pain
The key to a good night's sleep when you have chronic back pain is as simple as choosing a good pillow-top mattress. Choosing the best mattress involves knowledge of your personal needs and preferences. To get a comfortable night's sleep, start by choosing a pillow-top mattress made from the right materials for you. Next, choose your preferred thickness. Finally, have firm sleep support underneath the cushions of the pillow-top. Below, you'll learn the best pillow-top mattresses for back pain. Choose the materials: Pillow-top mattresses are made from a variety of materials, so choosing the one that is right for you can make all the difference in the world. People with muscle pain should consider down pillow-top mattresses, which provide a cocoon to sleep in. Those with back issues will generally prefer memory foam pillow-top mattresses, which conform to the body and offer consistent support to areas like the lower back. However, it is important to check the manufacturer's information regarding the recommended weight allowances for these types of pillow-tops. Consumers who are heavier than the recommendations may find that the pillow-top cushion compresses in uncomfortable ways, leaving the mattress lumpy. Determine the thickness: Pillow-top mattresses come in a variety of thicknesses, from just 2 inches to 8 or more inches deep. Like choosing the right materials for your pillow-top, choosing the right depth is vital to getting a good night's sleep. Thinner pillow-top mattresses will allow more of the support from the remainder of the mattress to come through and will not develop body indentations as pronounced as those in a deep pillow-top. Pillow-top mattresses that are too soft may fail to provide back support and cause an increase in back pain. However, deep pillow-top mattresses are excellent for customers who suffer from fibromyalgia or other chronic pain. Check the warranty: Just as you would with any other purchases of its size, check the warranty of your pillow-top mattress. Most manufacturers will provide limited, pro-rated replacement warranties for manufacturer's defects, and some will provide a "comfort guarantee." Others may have specific conditions that must be met in order to maintain the warranty, such as having a boxed spring by the same manufacturer. Take note of any special conditions for the warranty and keep the paperwork. View All Mattresses Back to Guides Directory View All Mattresses

How to Choose a Memory Foam Mattress Topper
Memory foam, also called "temper foam," was first developed by NASA in the mid-1960s to ensure passenger comfort and protection in airplane seats. Memory foam mattress toppers mold to the body, and then slowly spring back to their original shape. This makes them ideal for those with back or joint pain. However, not all memory foam mattress toppers are the same. Here's how to choose one that will best suit your needs.
Top 5 Reasons for Buying an Air Mattress

Top 5 Reasons to Own a Memory Foam Topper
If you like to sleep well, nothing will help you quite like a memory foam topper. Memory foam mattress toppers can turn any bed into a place of dreamy, soft comfort. Choosing the Right Density for Your Memory Foam Mattress
A decade ago, choosing a memory foam mattress was easier because there were so few brands and options. However, as the prices of memory foam mattresses have dropped, more brands have begun producing memory foam bedding, and choosing the right mattress has become more challenging. However, one factor remains constant throughout the different brands: memory foam density. Memory foam density, expressed in pounds per cubic foot, makes a big difference in the softness, durability, support, and price of your mattress. Knowing a little about the different densities of memory foam mattresses can simplify the buying process and help you find the memory foam mattress that's right for you.
There are basically three common types of mattresses used today: spring mattresses, memory foam mattresses, inflatable mattresses and feather beds. Each type has its own benefits. A mattress pad is a less expensive way to add comfort to your bed than purchasing a whole new mattress. With that said, if your mattress is lumpy or saggy, a mattress topper probably won't make much difference. If it is good, though, you have many different choices in material, price, and comfort. Whatever you get, just make sure you purchase the right size for your bed frame. Take a look below to learn more about the best-selling mattresses on the market.
