Why did you choose this product?
We bought this for our motor home and are so glad we did. It was too big for the RV size king (different from a household king) so we easily cut it down to size using a electric knife. One word of caution, however -- it isn't very deep so if you like your bottom sheets to be taut, you'll have to add a topper or two....

I must have gotten a different bed than the other reviewers. The reason that I bought the bed was that it had such great reviews at a great price. Mine came in 3 foam sections. We first layered it from bottom to top, biggest to smallest. There were no directions with the bed, so we just assumed that was the way it went. The first few months it seemed that I was sleeping funny. I chalked it up to the fact that maybe we had to break the mattress in. Jump to a year later and I have now been sleeping in the kids room for the past 6 months in order to get a good nights sleep. My husband and I have switched the three layers around and even bought a big feather bed to see if that would help...but it does not. From all the reviews, I feel like we got sent the wrong bed. Also, my husband has gotten such bad back pain after the first few months of sleeping on it as well, that he is now going to physical therapy to try to rectify his pain. He is now sleeping in the guest room till we get another mattress sorted out. When I take off the mattress cover and feather bed to wash the pad, I can still smell the factory fumes. Not even close to being as strong as they were, but they are still there. I wish that I could just afford to go out and buy a new mattress. However, with our budget, I guess my husband will just sleep in the guest room and I will continue sleeping with the children until we can. If you have had great luck with this bed, you are one of the lucky ones. Or maybe I just got sent a dud. It sounds like it from the other reviews. I give it two stars...because of the reasonable price. However, like my mother used to tell me, "You get what you pay for". In this case, with this particular bed, that is true for me.Read More

used to have one that was an 8" but lost it in a house fire so with the income tax, we are starting to rebuild and wanted to get back our comfortable been because it's always nice to have that when so much is stressful.

VERY confused by description Verses reviews of this matress. Has product changed recently? Most are old reviews and talk about it being for a RV and coming in THREE seperate pieces with no assembly instructions. I don't see either of these things stated in the product description I am reading. Please clarify how many pieces of foam and their density and if this is king size for home or RV use. Also if product is NOT exactly as described what is it policy on returning it?
At the bottom of the product description it says "Due to recent manufacturing changes this product is approved for home use and ships in one carton, fully assembled." So apparently yes, there have been recent changes to the product. There are two pieces of foam one six inch base layer and a four inch layer of visco elastic 5.3 density foam.
So where does it list it would come in seperate pieces like the reviews state?
Under Product Features is states: -One 6-inch Accu-Flex medium firm support base layer for spinal alignment and total body support -Top visco elastic layer consists of 4-inches of Accu-Gold 5.3 memory foam
Best Reasons to Have a California King Bed
Similar in size to a standard king bed, a California king bed is four inches longer, allowing a lot of extra room top to bottom. A California king bed measures 72 inches wide and 84 inches long, and a standard king mattress measures 76 inches wide and 80 inches long, so while a California king mattress is four inches longer, it is also about four inches thinner than a standard king bed. Making a decision between the two might be difficult. Ultimately, both are great options, but there are a few conditions that might make a California king size bed the clear choice. Before you pick which king mattress is right for you, here are a few of the best reasons to choose a California king bed.

Best Pillow-top Mattresses for Back Pain
The key to a good night's sleep when you have chronic back pain is as simple as choosing a good pillow-top mattress. Choosing the best mattress involves knowledge of your personal needs and preferences. To get a comfortable night's sleep, start by choosing a pillow-top mattress made from the right materials for you. Next, choose your preferred thickness. Finally, have firm sleep support underneath the cushions of the pillow-top. Below, you'll learn the best pillow-top mattresses for back pain. Choose the materials: Pillow-top mattresses are made from a variety of materials, so choosing the one that is right for you can make all the difference in the world. People with muscle pain should consider down pillow-top mattresses, which provide a cocoon to sleep in. Those with back issues will generally prefer memory foam pillow-top mattresses, which conform to the body and offer consistent support to areas like the lower back. However, it is important to check the manufacturer's information regarding the recommended weight allowances for these types of pillow-tops. Consumers who are heavier than the recommendations may find that the pillow-top cushion compresses in uncomfortable ways, leaving the mattress lumpy. Determine the thickness: Pillow-top mattresses come in a variety of thicknesses, from just 2 inches to 8 or more inches deep. Like choosing the right materials for your pillow-top, choosing the right depth is vital to getting a good night's sleep. Thinner pillow-top mattresses will allow more of the support from the remainder of the mattress to come through and will not develop body indentations as pronounced as those in a deep pillow-top. Pillow-top mattresses that are too soft may fail to provide back support and cause an increase in back pain. However, deep pillow-top mattresses are excellent for customers who suffer from fibromyalgia or other chronic pain. Check the warranty: Just as you would with any other purchases of its size, check the warranty of your pillow-top mattress. Most manufacturers will provide limited, pro-rated replacement warranties for manufacturer's defects, and some will provide a "comfort guarantee." Others may have specific conditions that must be met in order to maintain the warranty, such as having a boxed spring by the same manufacturer. Take note of any special conditions for the warranty and keep the paperwork. View All Mattresses Back to Guides Directory View All Mattresses

Choosing the Right Density for Your Memory Foam Mattress

However, as the prices of memory foam mattresses have dropped, more brands have begun producing memory foam bedding, and choosing the right mattress has become more challenging. However, one factor remains constant throughout the different brands: memory foam density. Memory foam density, expressed in pounds per cubic foot, makes a big difference in the softness, durability, support, and price of your mattress. Knowing a little about the different densities of memory foam mattresses can simplify the buying process and help you find the memory foam mattress that's right for you.
