Manufacturing defects; but you may be more lucky
The holes were drilled on the wrong side of one of the ends so it couldn't be assembled. It's such that you can't just drill holes either - the holes would go through the piece entirely and have nothing to bolt to. We tried for 7 requests, 3 deliveries and 6 months to get pieces that actually fit. The last delivery was an entirely new bench which had the same problem too. It looks like it would be a nice enough bench if you get one that's manufactured correctly, but we finally gave up and will buy a bench locally come springtime.

struck out twice
I ordered this bench based on positive reviews but was very disappointed. The first bench I received had defective pieces in the box. Overstock sent me a second bench and it was in worse shape than the first. Be forewarned that this is not the bench it appears to be in the picture. Quality control on this item is poor.

I love this bench
This bench was delivered as promised and was not that difficult to put together. It looks great on my porch and is built strong. I would get another if I had a place to put it.

perfect bench for meditation
we love this bench. It is sitting in the middle of a tree orchard of 80 english hawthorn tree's for the purpose to relax and have quite time when needed.

You get what you pay for!
The holes predrilled for assemble were not all the way through on some. There was minor damage in transport.

High quality!
This bench is on our front porch, so subjected to high humidity & temperature changes. We've owned it for several years now & it looks as good today as it did when we purchased it. Highly recommend!

Need some time to put them together by myself
It took me good one hour to put together by myself because it is tricky to hit the two screws together in the middle of the wood. It is sturdy, means heavy.

Need a drill to make this work
The bench looks as depicted. The wood is okay and the bench seems sturdy. All the required pieces were provided. Nothing was broken. The biggest issue I had was that one of the dowels holding the back to the side did not match the hole it was supposed to fit into, required a drill to increase the size and location of the hole. I also needed to create or finish incomplete holes to insert screws holding the seat and sides together.

good sturdy bench...
This bench has been outdoors on an open deck in the Catskills for about three years now, and has turned a nice silvery grey. It has not warped at all...! Excellent bench...

Nice bench
The bench is just what I expected from the photo and discription. My husband put it together and didn't think it was the best of quality. For the price, I am happy.
