Nice Chair
from Long Beach, CA,  Feb 26, 2010

Well made, looks nice, folds down to be very slim for storage. A little unbalanced. Good on the lounge but if you sit forward piss drunk you're gonna lose a tooth.

Disappointed
from Chicago, IL,  Jul 8, 2010

The chairs look great. However, I am surprised that no one noticed that if you sit or scoot too far up to the edge of the seat, the entire chair will tilt down and forward! It is definitely a bit dangerous for children and elderly. The legs underneath should have been made longer, thus supporting the front of the chair and keeping it from tilting down if your butt isn't all the way back. This is a function/safety flaw and it's not practical. Unfortunately, I had to warn everyone about that before they sit and as a result, I don't use the chair anymore.

Excellent chairs
from Brandywine Valley,  Mar 24, 2012

We use these attractive chairs on a covered porch during the summer and store them inside during the winter. They open easily and stay open. We use padded chair-seat cushions so they are very comfortable.

Nifty folding chairs
 from Alabama,  Jun 22, 2011

I bought these 2 folding chairs plus the matching 32" round table to replace the dining set that was in our 5th wheel camper. That set took up so much room in the camper and we hardly ever used it. Bought these chairs and table because they are able to fold up while traveling and also they don't take up as much room in the camper. Used them this past weekend for the first time and they worked well. Also easy to fold up and take outside and use for extra seating. The only issue with the chairs is that if you sit too far forward on the seats, they want to fold up. I had to keep cautioning my grandkids to "sit back on the seat". But all in all , I am very pleased with my purchase. They work well in my camper and I can easily take them out to use outside on the patio at home also.

Exceptional
from South Florida,  Sep 6, 2009

I was concerned that the low price of these chairs would reflect the quality but happily I was quite wrong. The quality and look of these chairs are exceptional. They fold up very smoothly and the chairs are very firm with a nice curved back for comfort. The seat has a great size, even for my husband (6'3", 195 lbs) feels very comfortable and secure while sitting. I recommend highly. Great Value!

Yes, they have a slight tackiness to the finish, but a day in the sun and they are good to go! Overall, a very good buy.

OK but Imperfect
 Aug 29, 2009

The workmanship on the Tivoli Folding Chair is quite sloppy: the lacquer appears to have been slapped on, quite unevenly, and elements do not always match flush. But the construction seems quite sturdy, the chairs operate well when folding or opening, and they're comfortable enough considering the vertical slats. The lacquer is slightly tacky to the touch on arrival, but not such that it grabs clothes or bleeds onto fabrics. Quite adequate as outdoor pieces, and the flaws might not be noticed by casual appraisal, but these are not finely crafted, proudly built units. If you don't demand perfection for this seating application, these are not bad chairs.

Great Chairs
from Tunkhannock, PA,  Aug 27, 2009

The chairs are very nice looking and comfortable. I was a little hesitant to purchase them, but I have no regrets after receiving them. They fold up very nicely for storing. I have not had them long enough to give a rating on their durability.

Nice chairs

Overall, very nice chairs. Good quality and design for this price! Very comfortable. My only call out is that the lacquer was a little sticky and not completely dry.

Patio Chairs
from San Francisco,  Jul 12, 2009

The folding patio chairs are very well made and looked great with the teak patio table we already had purchased. We actually got eight chairs and they look great in a grouping. The style is substaintial and impressive and rather contemporary in apperance. Our garden is an Asian theme so the chairs fit in beautifully. The height and comfort was even better than I imagined in the picture on Overstock. .Fast delivery provided seating for our July 4th celebration. Another great purchase from Overstock.com.I think waxing them from time to time would help keep the deep teak apperance they now have. Anxious to see how they weather over time and if a little wax will keep their beautiful rich color..

Tivoli Folding Chairs
from Boston, MA,  Jun 26, 2009

I tend not to trust any reviews that have all five star ratings but these chairs merit an exception. They are very comfortable, attractive and well made. They are not at all flimsy and are likely to last a very long time. I bought 4 chairs and construction is consistent throughout. One caveat...although the spring loaded pin (locking mechanism) brilliantly keeps the chairs from closing up on you unexpectedly and crushing your fingers, once they are folded for storage, they don't want to stay folded. They drop back open into sitting position. This is a little frustrating but no reason to give them less than an excellent rating. If I were rating on a 0% to 100% scale I would put them at 85- 90%. They also have a carry handle cutout in the seat so when folded up moving them around is a breeze. Very clever design! I store them on their sides instead of standing up so they don't flop open.By the way, the entire process from ordering to delivery was quick and flawless.MB

Acacia Folding Chairs
 from California,  Feb 21, 2009

These chairs are not much cheaper than better-constructed teak folding chairs, and both had splits in the side slats from drying out. The design and idea are good, but the wood apparently was too wet when the chairs were constructed.

Southeast Lady
from Fayetteville, NC,  Oct 22, 2008

The chairs are beautiful and of good quality. The construction and comfort are excellent. I had ordered two previously and liked them so well that I ordered two more to have a good set to go with the folding 38-inch patio table I ordered.

I bought four of these chairs for outdoor dining. They were very easy to tighten up with the wrench included with the packing. I find them very comfortable. They fold up easily and can be stored in a minimum of space.

Sturdy and Beautiful
from South Carolina,  May 1, 2008

These just arrived as quickly as I have come to expect from Overstock. I was very nervous they would be flimsy for the price, but I had nothing to worry about. I am plus size and I feel comfortable and secure sitting on them. I also bought the matching 31.5 " square table and it is perfect size for two to share a meal or a cup of tea in the morning. All pieces are free of defects or flaws. The price alone makes these an exceptional value, but with the flat rate shipping I saved so much more. Other sites would have added $50+ surcharge to shipping for similar products / box.

dissapointed
from Little River, SC,  Apr 22, 2008

Construction is poor. Two cross bars that holds chair together were broken and I had to add long screws to make chairs usable.
