Chairs look and work great at first. When they are manufactured they are nut and bolted with clearances so tight that the first time the wood swells, two out of four chairs purchased slpit at one of the bolt holes. One chair came split and had to be returned. Is summary, three of five chairs have split. I believe that says it all.

These chairs are sturdy and very stable, they are wide and tilt back to comfortable positions. They may require some lindseed oil to maintain them. Acacia wood is a very durable wood used in boat construction. I am thinking about ordering 2 more....

Chairs are what we expected. Sits well -better for taller people. First chairs had shipping damage, but were promply and cheerfully replaced.

I purchased one of these and it arrived broken. When I contacted Overstock, they immediately shipped a replacement. The other day, my son-in-law sat down in it and it shattered, sending him to the deck. Thank goodness he wasn't injured. He weighs less than 200lbs so I see no legitimate reason for this incident other than poor materials used to construct the chair. I would recommend that if you are thinking of purchasing wood furniture, that you consider a more expensive item, that may be constructed of better materials.

this is a save, very sturdy chair. the shifting arm mechanism is safe, so 'slipping' between positions so that elders, small kids, and disabilitied folks should be safer for this. nice stain on the wood, well produced. choose this chair over the other 5position chair offered for $113.00 , hands down.

I bought this based on the appearance and reviews. When I received the chairs (3), they were no where near the color they were on the advertisement. They had more yellow in the wood and perhaps more greyish. The color in the picture appears to be redwood. I am thinking they oiled it up with a redwood base coat and shot the picture. It is quite comfortable. I purchased seat cushions for them and they are very nice looking. The only real complaint I have is that I cannot find a cushion for the top of the chair, where the head hits, and it would be nice if they had offered some sort of a foot stool or foot rest for when the chair is all the way back. Other than that, It is a very nice chair and a good value for the money.

Chair has a good appearance and was priced right. It is not comfortable without a cushion on the chair, it just feels too hard. It is attractive and blends in well with our other chairs.
