  • IMO DO NOT PURCHASE

    At the outset, I love Overstock. Except for shipping related problems with this item, the Overstock customer service team was exceptional re the defect in the first chair I received. The chair pieces appeared to be assembled with a too-big frame which created a gap of more than an inch on one side of the chair. I could see light through the chair. It was not good to go through the shipping return on it. I had to do a lot of the legwork on that. I think Abbyson Living may be selling detective chairs through Overstock? The second change also has a gap, but it smaller. I can see light through it one side, but less light than the first one. Also, this chair does not feel sturdy. I do not sit in it, I look at it. I won't order bulk furniture from Abbyson Living (via Overstock) again but I will buy other items. The customer service rep assigned to my case was great, very fast acting. I don't fault Overstock but note... the chair was delivered to a freight company in NYC, which then contracted with a local delivery company. Though Overstock said in print and on phone that this would be a white glove delivery, it was not, not at all! The first delivery guy refused to let me look at the chair before accepting it so fyi there isn't a right of refusal, as I had been assured. If there had been I would have refused the first defective chair and not had the drawn out problem I had getting the replacement, which, again, has a structural imperfection. I just can't be bothered to return it, so I treat it like a living room ornament and that's that. Hope this helps prospective buyers.
