We are very pleased with this rug. Excellent quality, vibrant colors and very comfortable to walk on. I did not expect the burgundy color to look as close to pink as it does. Actually, I think "Fuschia" is more accurate. Not sure I would have bought it if the photo was accurate, however, after placing the rug in our family room the colors work well together and compliments our decor, adding an unexpected splash. The white background is very nearly pure white. The rug was packaged well, although, the heavy plastic wrap was partially opened on one end of the rug, probably due to shipping. Fortunately, there was no damage to the rug. This rug will shed a little relative to the traffic, but an occasional vacuuming will take care of that. My only worry is staining. Since our kids are all grown, and visitors remove their shoes anyway, we should be ok. :) If you're looking for quality rug with a modern design this rug is one to consider.

So I was nervous about ordering a big black outdoor rug, just because I feel like I usually go for the safe beige. But my outdoor furniture has a dark muted black metal with a stone top table and I was looking for something different. After it came and put it down........I love it!!!! It's so contemporary and adds a warm cozy-ness to my big deck. So don't be nervous take a chance!!!! Look rich too! I get lots of compliments on it.

I was very excited to come across this rug, which has a very simple and modern design. However, I thought the background color was white, not beige. I think this rug would look much better with a white background. I hate beige.

I saw this rug in a furniture store at a much higher price, so I was pleased to buy it at a nice discount from Overstock. I like the colors and contemporary look with my simple black and white furniture in a gray room. One negative....the pile height is different on the center of the squares and higher on the edges. This makes it hard to vacuum and hard on my vacuum cleaner. Other than that, I really like it, my dog likes it, and it makes a nice presentation.

This rug is beautiful - no doubt. I love the different textures/pile heights, and the contemporary fee. The greens go with just about anything - it matches my wall color perfectly and really "ties the [living] room together". That being said, I was mildly disappointed by the inaccurate portrayal of the colors in this rug online. I was thinking there would be a progression of color from green to blue with almost wihtes & gold mixed in. At least on my home & work computers, and even when I printed pictures of it, there seemed to be blues, or at least more silvers. The rug I received, however, has a PRIMARY color of different shades of green, and the secondary color is the sades of "light rust" aka brown. I was really hoping it would tie not just the living room together, but also my grey dining room and blue kitchen, but alas. I guess you can't have it all. Overall though, this is a great product. Expect to fill MANY vacuum bags. The info sheet that came with it said that it was normal for wool rugs to shed for a few weeks, but we're only just now seeing it slow down. They certainly aren't kidding around about that!

The description says .625 in. thick, its not. Its as thin as an indoor/outdoor carpet. The field color is dark beige, not ivory or cream. This rug should be in a cabin or beach house, NOT a traditional dining room. If you're looking for a more formal rug, do NOT order this one, you'll be greatly disappointed. This rug is meant for an extremely casual lake house/cabin type environment. Website does not accurately describe this rug, very misleading. BEWARE!! I am returning this rug.

The quality is excellent! Similar rugs in my local specialty carpet/rug store would be 2 or 3X the price that I paid. I was looking for something black and white, that would make the room "pop." While this tends toward the traditional in the pattern, it works well with my otherwise contemporary furnishings. I also needed something a specific size, 9 x 12 was a bit small but 10X14 too large. I purchased the 9X13 version and it was a perfect fit. Also the shipping was amazingly fast! I ordered on a Friday and it was literally at my door the following day. All in all an excellent transaction!

I love blue and white, and tend to buy very traditional things for my home. My husband and children were surprised that I bought something so graphic. I usually buy things with paisley, plants, and flowers. This Moroccan rug seems to be very well made, and it adds just the right amount of color to my covered patio. Everyone who sees it immediately asks if it's an outdoor rug, probably worried that I need to bring it inside. I am so pleased!

This rug is exactly the style I was looking for. The quality of the rug is not excellent but for the price I would say it is a very good value. It is in my dining room and when chairs are moved across it, it sometimes creates pulls in the fabric.

This rug is so beautiful and worth every penny. Much better look and quality than I expected. Very thick and padded feel under your feet. The bold colors and design remind me of something a decorator would recommend. Rug does have some shedding but its not bad. If you like a French contemporary look this is the rug for you. Hope this helps ............

I love this rug! After sending back other rugs from other companies due to inaccurate descriptions, I decided to buy from Overstock. I didn't go wrong with this rug. The background grey color with the cream (off-white) outlining the Moroccan trellis motif is perfect. I'm using it in my dining room with Overstock's off-white bonded leather chairs with the silver studs. It's perfect. My room style is Contemporary-Hollywood Regency Style. The price is great for the quality of the rug. So far it has not shed like the New Zealand wool rugs. Beautiful!

This rug is more silver than white. I ordered two rugs: one for each daughters rooms. One daughter loved the silver color and the other wanted a white rug. Therefore one was returned.

This rug is even better in person. When it's unrolled it looks less geometric than in the small picture on the computer screen (which was a bonus for me). While technically the proportions of color to off-white background on the picture look correct, when it's laid out it feels like an off-white rug with color on it. (Rather than flowers with some off-white between them as it looks in the picture. This was also a bonus for me!) It's the perfect combo of contemporary/cottage that I have been looking for. With two big dogs and two small kids we go through a lot of area rugs. This is by far my favorite that we've had! It looks and feels much more expensive than it actually was. I love it!

When I initially received this rug, I wrote a somewhat scathing, and perhaps unfair, review of the rug...interestingly it never appeared on the site. So, now I've had it a year and I guess I will say I am satisfied, although I don't think I would recommend this to a friend. First, the good. On my moniter the colors show up pretty accurately to real life. The blue is a sky blue, there is a lovely apple green, brown, and beige. This happens to be the basic color scheme for our basement den, so that and the design is what prompted me to buy. Now that it isn't shedding as badly, it looks very nice in the room. Also, initially we had problems with the rug b/c it wouldn't lay flat...it seems quite prone to creasing, well, with time that issue is now resolved. My original criticism remains, it looks fine (now that is is laying completely flat) but doesn't feel very soft or plush in my opinion. I just wasn't astute enough to pick it up, this rug, although wool, is not specified as New Zealand wool. Based on two rugs that I purchased from Overstock, the rug that had New Zealand wool in the description is extremely plush and soft. It not only looks but also feels like a high quality and expensive rug. This "Mayflower Sky" rug on the other hand, although it looks fine, is not nearly as soft nor as thick. I measure the pile height as 1/2". Bottom line: it's adequate for our basement application and for its price. However, I will make a point of looking for New Zealand wool in the future, and look at the pile height in the description more carefully as well.

I went back and forth with this and a couple of other rugs and settled on this one. The design is very William Morris and the colors are lovely--the background is ivory with some gold, the greens are a sage and some olive in the center, orange, and gold. Other reviews mentioned shedding, but it's been nearly a month and I haven't noticed any more than with any of my other wool rugs when they were new. Definitely get a pad for it; the rug itself is thick but a pad always feels better on the feet. The wool is relatively coarse but that means it will hold up well over time. If you're looking for a rug background like old parchment or an amber color, note that this rug is lighter than that. It's not an off-white ivory, but a dark cream with gold flecks. Be prepared for the weight of this - I bought the 9 x 12 and it's hard to handle alone. It was well packaged from the manufacturer, so I was able to get it up a flight of stairs by myself, but I needed help to unroll and spread it. Any packaging wrinkles flattened out within a day or two

I ordered 2 of these rugs (8’ round & 8 x 11) based on great reviews. After ordering I was apprehensive as I had neglected to check pile height and they are listed as .625 which is great except that I actually wanted something a little thinner. Trying to find just that right height between indoor/outdoor which is usually scratchy & too thin and rugs that are soft and plush. I was pleasantly surprised when I opened each of them and found them to be closer to .50 than .625. Enough plush and softness that I don’t need extra padding. Delivery was practically overnight, as I received these rugs 4 days after placing order! Color is spot on with my computer monitor for both rugs which was also a nice surprise – beige background with light brown diamonds and white rings.. Neutral contemporary look will give me lots of options to add color with accessories which is my decorating preference. My only neg is sizing. 8x11 is really 10’7 x 7’7 and 8’ round is actually 7’9 and I really wanted those extra few inches but these sizes seem to be pretty common.

Fell in love with this rug as soon as I saw it. Ordered the 9' x 12' and later a 6' round. The large rug is a lot darker than the rug in the photo. The round rug's color matches photo quite well. I have pets and I vacuum these rugs at least three times per week. A little over two years and the rug is still shedding--so much that I fill the canister of the vacuum at least once each time I vacuum. About 6 months after I purchased the rug I started noticing white spots through out the large rug. Seems that someone added white fiber to the weave so the rug always looks like it has lint on it. At first I tried to pull those white fibers. It's sort of like pulling grey hair. It keeps getting more white fibers. Still like the style and the colors, but I'll be replacing these rugs soon. The shedding and the white spots are too much!

This is an absolutely stunning rug, the likes of which you will never find in a big box store. The pattern (repeat) is quite large, on a 9 x 12 rug, the repeat, which I think resembles an owl, is 3.5 across and 4.5 deep. The pictures used to advertise this rug are of a smaller size - so I wanted to point that out. The colors are very different from the various sites however. The photos on Safevieh site and on this site show a dark chocolate rug with vibrant orange and green floral designs. I was nervous that the rug would look a little too 70's with that color combination but it is hard to find a orange/rust toned rug that would work in an arts & crafts style living room. The description of the rug here mentions a charcoal background, that is inaccurate too. My best description of the rug is muted browns and camel tones. The background is a dusty chocolate brown, the large flowers are a camel shade leaning to the dusty orange spectrum. The other tones in the rug are ivory, rust, and a muted light-mid olive (almost a moss shade). If you google images of the item number MET985b, you will see that most of the photos reflect a bright rug, and one company shows a washed out overlit rug. The reality lies between the two. But I am very pleased with this rug. I think the muted colors will work better than extreme brights. I have chocolate leather furniture and hardwood floors and this rug makes the room. It looks like you could have had it forever, but is stylish and not dated looking. My style is arts & crafts with a traditional bent, and this looks perfect. **I will add that the rug arrived folded up . I wasn't expecting that. I'm hoping it flattens out and lies straight because I still have a few large ripples in it. I purchased the thick felt underpad based on the reviews of similar rugs, and it pairs very nicely with the rug.

I bought this for my 12-year-old daughter's bedroom, so I did not want to spend much, but I wanted an 8 x 8 wool rug. This was a good price, and fit the bill in some ways but..came with a distinct musty smell, that I have so far, been unable to eradicate. I will probably have to have it professionally cleaned, and given the size, that will be about 100 bucks. I don't mind doing this in the course of maintenance, but on a brand new rug? I'm not too happy about that. (All of the rugs in my house are wool. None of them smell --at all.) Second, the height differential between the white outline and the blue is very noticeable, so walking on it feels lumpy. (My daughter doesn't seem to mind it.) Third, the white is shedding onto the blue, but that will be temporary. So, caveat emptor.
