I bought this rug recently. Within a day or so some threads were coming loose. I thought I'd just thrown away $400. To my surprise, after a 5 minute phone call to Overstock, I had a new rug being shipped to me and a paid return shipping label emailed to me. This was the easiest return process I've ever experienced. The replacement rug is perfect and I will be ordering more things from Overstock in the future. Great experience with this company.

Very nice but I think it would be much better as an outdoor rug. Not quite thick enough for indoors.

I debated for months over ordering this rug and finally took the plunge. It arrived yesterday and it was not quite what I expected. They list it as cream but it really has more tan in it. Also, the colors are not saturated. They are made up of several color fibers together so the "blue" is really a combination of light blue, dark blue, brown, white and green. The "purple" is a combo of purple, fuchsia, pink, red and white. You get the idea. So it is pretty but just not for me. Hope this helps future buyers.

We have several dogs, so we usually elect to purchase outdoor rugs for indoor use in all rooms. Much easier to keep dog hair from building up on these outdoor rugs. Also usually easier on the wallet when you're looking for a larger rug to cover a living area. With that said, some outdoor rugs look very much like an outdoor rug (typical patterns/styles - blah), and they're not suitable for indoor use if you care about the design of your room. This rug is my favorite outdoor rug I've purchased yet (over the years, we've been through plenty) for indoor use. The picture accurately shows what the rug looks like, colors shown in picture (on my monitor) were true to the color of the rug. The border and the 'dots' in the rug are a rich, chocolate brown with a bit of a velour-like fabric. The base rug (the tan part) has a nice texture/pattern that is very subtle, but gives it a more expensive look. The best part is the light green overlay that helps make the moroccan lattice pattern. It also has the velour-like texture as the chocolate fabric and is an overlay on the rug. It is tightly woven on, and I have had no issues with it snagging or pulling up, even with vacuuming. The rug is SO SOFT on your feet, but very durable. I always recommend taking the time with a new rug to spray Scotch Guard on it for extra stain protection. Outdoor rugs are easier to clean anyway in general. But I use the Scotch Guard for outdoor use (it's a slightly more expensive can than the general version). It is more water repellent and helps spills or accidents/stains lift right up. This rug has transformed the look of my room and compliments my grayish/green leather couch and taupe colors sitting chairs so well. I highly recommend this!

Muted olive green on tan background. Nicely finished. Use mine under dining room table. Also the kitties love to use it to exercise their claws. They cannot damage it.

While it is of good quality and attractive, it most certainly is not as pictured as being red/tan. It is burgandy/tan and that accounts for only 4 stars as I needed red to go with the sofa. I am keeping it as it is too much trouble to return and will store it until I change the sofa. I would like to know if others received a carpet that is truly red/tan!

I used this as an indoor rung in my dining room. It was a great pop of color for the space. It was in a high traffic area, overlapping a walkway to a patio door. The rug held up very well, kept its color, and was easy to clean. I had it for 3 years and didn't have a space for it when I moved. If I had a need I would certainly buy this again. Note: this is a very thin rug, no padding.

I guess I should have realized that an indoor/outdoor rug wouldn't be the softest on the feet but we like the colors and design. It's a beautiful rug but the way it was shipped put creases in the rug that have yet to flatten out. It's been about 2 months and the creases don't seem to be getting any better.
While they can last for many years, wool area rugs need to be taken care of properly in order for you to protect your investment. Improper care can lead to excessive shedding, fading, and wear; these are not signs that the rug is defective, but indications that the rug has not been treated with care. With the proper cleaning products and a little time, you can keep your wool area rugs looking great. Cleaning Wool Rugs: Never use a vacuum with a beater bar. All wool rugs shed, but a beater bar will cause excessive shedding and abrasions to your rug. Read More
