bought this for a covered back porch since we painted the floor gray and two sides have red/blue/charcoal brick and I wanted polypropylene for outside.. arrived in just 3-4 days. This rug was so nice I also tried it in my dining room - it looked great but did not go with rest of furnishings. I may order small size for my foyer. it actually has some softness to it but the blue is striking. It is a much deeper, richer blue than photo. Almost a jewel blue - but not quite that dark. The other part is a light tan, a little darker than cream, which will help in not showing dirt. - and helps to balance the blue. I was extremely pleased with the rug and it is much nicer looking than photo..

The pile height for this rug was described as 0.625 inches, which is over 1/2 inch thick, which is pretty thick in my opinion. However, I had read reviews for a similar rug (different design) where people said the rug was thinner than they thought it would be when the rug actually arrived. I asked Overstock customer reps if there could've been a typo on the 0.625 inch description and they said no. I asked them if the 0.625 inch was just for the black floral design or all over the rug. (I thought from the photo that maybe it was raised in some areas and not in other parts. Although it was really hard to tell in the photo.) They said it was 0.625 inches high all over the rug. I asked what "woven" meant in the description, because woven tends to mean a thinner rug. They said that's "how it was made". I asked if I could return the rug if the rug did not match the description, without my having to pay shipping. They said yes, they would pay the shipping. I ordered it and lo and behold, it was definitely NOT 0.625 inches. It was about 0.25 inches, at most. Even if it was just a thin rug, I may have been able to deal with it, but the brown/ tan part of the rug was like a ROUGH BURLAP-like material. I was planning on having this rug indoors and I don't want to walk on burlap. If you look at the photo, you can see that the tan part makes up the majority of the rug. I returned it promptly. Overstock kindly waived the shipping fee back to them, however, they did not refund the shipping fee I paid originally to have it shipped to me.

Although I don't love it, I'm keeping it. It seems like a well made carpet, although the feel is a little more synthetic that I would like. The photo shows and the description on the site mentions green, but what might possibly be perceived as green looks tan to me. Not olive green...tan. Given that I purchased it for a green room, I'm a bit dissappointed in that. Also, the photo on the site shows a much busier pattern. The actual carpet shows a lot more of the tan background with the geometric border and flowers much more sparse that the photo.

My wife selected the carpet, I agreed after reading the reviews and ordered it. It came in wrapped in plastic but without a tube - all fine. The edges were a little rough from the packaging and shipment but settled down after a couple days. For the center of the roll, we sat our sofa on it for a couple days and it too flattened out. It is flat after a week. It will not be flat immediately - to expect that is wrong. We really like it. It just is an average to low quality piece. It isn't high quality by any means - you get what you pay for. What I don't like about the carpet is that it is thin compared to most of the local ones we looked at. We looked at $1200 down to $200 rugs in this size. It feels like a lower quality rug you would find at a big box grocery/department/everything else chain. So for the price - that is the quality you are getting. The colors and pattern are a different story though - you won't find them on run of the mill department store rugs. A national chain home / hardware chain had much higher quality rugs for the same price at their depot, but they were not as dynamic in color. We paid just under $$$ on sale for it and with shipping it is a fair price but certainly not a bargain in my book. As for the colors. I am a computer guy and a graphic artist. We looked at the displayed photo on several monitors and on none of them was it close to the actual colors. It is darker with more vibrant, intense colors. The image for the "Carson-Brown-Gold-Contemporary-Area-Rug-67-x-96" Item 6219842 on Overstock is closer (it is the same design), still not as intense though. Every color in the book seems to be in it. Green is the predominant color more so than in the photo but under our night time lighting the green looks brown. There were some other comments on the amount of green - there is more than it looks like in the photo. The blue is vibrant - not turquoise or teal but it is a BRIGHT blue. Sort of Detroit Lions Honolulu Blue. There are some hints of true red flecks in it in a couple dark patches. Some orange, tans, browns and black pretty much finish it out. This is not as pastel as it looks.

The rug we received looks nothing like the nice picture. The border is not a pretty brown border like shown. It is rather a huge border that is sloppy and very faded. Not brown in color but dark tan and washed-out looking. The border on the rug we got is over 12 inches wide and like I said really ugly, no details like shown and dark tan faded in spots. Too large to return put into office room with furniture on top. Don't recommend.

This was the perfect rug for our space. The color is just right. Our only issue we are having is that it sheds more than our four cats!

This is a great rug. I was shopping for a large indoor rug and came across this one on Overstock. It's super soft and plush. The color is a beautiful bluish gray that matches perfectly. It's a great contrast with the tan in the rug. For the price I could only find indoor/outdoor rugs with a quarter of the pile height that this one has. The shipping was a bit slow since Fed Ex has some weather delays. If you want a great quality rug for a fantastic price this is it.

When I initially received this rug, I wrote a somewhat scathing, and perhaps unfair, review of the rug...interestingly it never appeared on the site. So, now I've had it a year and I guess I will say I am satisfied, although I don't think I would recommend this to a friend. First, the good. On my moniter the colors show up pretty accurately to real life. The blue is a sky blue, there is a lovely apple green, brown, and beige. This happens to be the basic color scheme for our basement den, so that and the design is what prompted me to buy. Now that it isn't shedding as badly, it looks very nice in the room. Also, initially we had problems with the rug b/c it wouldn't lay flat...it seems quite prone to creasing, well, with time that issue is now resolved. My original criticism remains, it looks fine (now that is is laying completely flat) but doesn't feel very soft or plush in my opinion. I just wasn't astute enough to pick it up, this rug, although wool, is not specified as New Zealand wool. Based on two rugs that I purchased from Overstock, the rug that had New Zealand wool in the description is extremely plush and soft. It not only looks but also feels like a high quality and expensive rug. This "Mayflower Sky" rug on the other hand, although it looks fine, is not nearly as soft nor as thick. I measure the pile height as 1/2". Bottom line: it's adequate for our basement application and for its price. However, I will make a point of looking for New Zealand wool in the future, and look at the pile height in the description more carefully as well.

It took a little love when I rolled it out. I had it laying flat in an open area in my bedroom with items weighting down the edges so it would uncurl. The pattern is super nice. It is contemporary and rustic all rolled into one. I put it under my king sized bed over hardwood floors in my log home. It definitely needs a rug pad for under it to preserve your floors. I ordered the smaller one to put in front of french doors for for a little extra floor coverage. You can't beat the price and I would say it is an accurate depiction in the photos.

Beautiful vibrant colors. The tan looks yellow on my screen, but its a true tan/beige in person. Can't speak to the durability yet, but I hope it holds up well (my last set of outdoor rugs only lasted 2 seasons).

This is a high quality rug with very dense construction. Shipping weight was 100 lbs, and this was not understated. Rug is solidly constructed and good on top just about any surface as it will not slide on hard wood or other smooth surfaces. Laid flat within 2 days after being unrolled.

Rug is even more beautiful in person. Bought it for the lobby in my firm and holds up well to traffic. The tan is lighter than picture but I thought it was perfect.

This rug was too thin and showed dirt really quickly- i have two indoor Boxers and their short hair was all over the black trim. Would probably be ok for people without pets. It was also very thin and not too comfortable on the feet. Giving it to my son for his new home!

I bought this rug almost a year ago. After about 6 months of ownership, mystery red stains started showing up in the grooves where the darker brown circles meet the light tan base color. They were reasonably easy to clean up with carpet cleaner but I found it odd that they would just pop up overnight, and always in those grooves. They still pop up now and then. I am fairly certain that they are coming from the rug itself and not some external source. I think that there is something wrong with the dye or base layer under the exposed fibers that is causing the red color to leach out of these grooves. For this reason I cannot recommend it. We put the rug in a high traffic area in our house. It stopped looking nice and new relatively quickly but doesn't look ratty just yet. I wouldn't give it high marks for durability, but this is not an expensive rug and I suppose you get what you pay for.

This is a nice product it added the warmth that the room I placed it in lacked. The color is nice/warm. It added a whole new level of warmth to my family room.

The colors in the rug are really pretty, a llight greyish blue, sage green, and the red makes it pop. My decor is a mix between contemporary and Pottery Barn and this rug works perfect. A good vacuum with my Dyson when I first layed it down helped get rid of the shedding. I would highly recommend!

The area rug is very stylish and contemporary. It has nice colors even though the picture shows up more gray it's has more of a blue gray color. I really liked the rug so even though the color was a little off I am still going to keep it. As for the pile of the area rug it's thick and comfortable under the feet.

We were living overseas for a few years, and had no carpet on the floor. The furnished apartment had red and black furniture. This rug was great, and blended well with the decor. It is probably better suited for an outdoor rug, but worked for our purposes.

I called O to ask if this was a flat weave rug and they said yes. They had no info on what it really is, which is partial flat weave and partial tufted. The design is tufted.... 3 or 4 different browns/tans ... That are hard to see online. Nice quality rug but not what I was looking for....wish O did a better job w their descriptions!
