I really love this rug. I ended up buying two, one in a smaller size for the library and this for the family room. I used to have antique and oriental rugs everywhere, but these rugs are so refreshing and really ground the furniture in the rooms well. I don't find them hard to walk on and my dogs like to scratch their backs on them--this has not caused the rugs to fray at all. I highly recommend. They have brightened and lightened my home dramatically. Who knew I would be so thrilled with inexpensive, seagrass rugs?

I had very limited options for a 9' x 12' rug for my family. Under $*, modern, easy to keep clean (children) and not too rough like a natural woven rug. This rug fit the bill, literally. And wow! When I unrolled it, I just fell in love with it. It just what we needed for our boring living room. With a decent mat underneath, it's just like any other indoor rug you would buy. Thanks to some trendy blogger I ran across, I was willing to give an indoor/outdoor rug a chance in my living room, and Overstock's quality and cost can't be beat any where else on the net or elsewhere.

Vibrant: seafoam. brown, sisal, rust, beige 6" stripes. Lays on a red oak floor with leather furniture. Very pretty, true 9' x 12'.

I purchased this rug to go under our dining table, which is just in front of the back door and next to the kitchen - it gets walked on a lot and covered in leaves and soil from the (renovation in progress) backyard, courtesy of the dogs/cat. I'm very pleased with it. The pros are: - It has withstood heavy foot traffic, moving chairs and soil/garden debris. - Easy to vacuum/clean. - The cat hasn't damaged it with the occasional clawing, he's actually not that interested in it, which is great. - The blue is dark-ish but not too bright (which is what I wanted) and the beige is a smart colour choice as it hides any soil, whereas white would show it. The colours on my screen are accurate. - Love the geometric pattern. - For an indoor/outdoor rug it is still soft underfoot, though obviously not plush. Cons: - It had a few creases in it from shipping that, a couple of months later, still have not settled but they are slowly getting there. Would buy again/recommend to a friend.

The rug is nice, but I did not realize the seagrass was quite so hard. It feels like wood! It is just not right for our space.

5 star looks for this rug. It looks really good with a rustic decor. Only 3 star for comfort and use. Rug texture is deep, and is not comfortable to sit on or walk on without shoes. Rug also a little hard to clean with the woven seagrass.

I got this sisal rug in 9 x 12 for a large area in our basement, and I have been very pleased. It was very inexpensive for its size and quality, and came as advertised. It is sturdy for a sisal, attractive in a low-key way, and (for the moment at least) it gives off a wonderful smell of grass. It definitely picks up a drab area for us.

We put this rug in our Florida living room. It looks great. It is not very comfortable to walk on and it takes quite a while for the seagrass smell to go away. I am thinking about putting a pad underneath to see if it makes a difference with bare feet. Otherwise people will have to wear shoes or the rug may go out on the porch.

If you are looking for a real herringbone pattern seagrass rug, this one is for you. The weave is tight, the smell is a very pleasant sweet tea and grass smell. Do remember that if you haven't even felt a seagrass rug before, that it is a very stiff, durable materiel. Don't buy this rug if you want a soft rug. This one is for looks, durability, and it's wonderful price. I'm not disappointed in my purchase, I knew what the material would feel and look like and I'm very pleased.
While they can last for many years, wool area rugs need to be taken care of properly in order for you to protect your investment. Improper care can lead to excessive shedding, fading, and wear; these are not signs that the rug is defective, but indications that the rug has not been treated with care. With the proper cleaning products and a little time, you can keep your wool area rugs looking great. Cleaning Wool Rugs: Never use a vacuum with a beater bar. All wool rugs shed, but a beater bar will cause excessive shedding and abrasions to your rug. Read More
