  • Handsome looking rug but poor quality.

This rug would be perfect for use outdoors, a screened in porch, sunroom, foyer, or mudroom, but not for our formal living room. We were looking for a traditional style rug for our formal living room/library. The first thing my husband said when picking up the rug is "Gosh, it's light for an 8x10". Ours came with two braided loops pulling up. Overstock was GREAT with our return and we have since ordered a difference replacement 100% wool rug from them, hopefully more durable than that last. The Liberty rug itself looks nice (from a distance) but feels like it's made of hardware store rope. After looking closer at the description, the polypropylene is what gives it that plastic-y feel and makes it much lighter than a wool rug. Double check the materials of any rug you order and if it made for use outdoors indicating a synthetic material. Also, the 8x10 product photo was a scaled version of an identical smaller rug. Where you see 10 white braids in the white/red border, there are in ...

Love, love, love this rug! Purchased for a guest bedroom with a masculine flair (was my son's old room before moving out). The color is exactly what was shown in the picture. Pairing this purple ivory chevron pattern with a brown burlap padded headboard and purple and brown plaid drapes results in an inviting room-scape. The value of the rug can't be beat and with buying fabric that was on sale, I transformed the room with minimal cost.

  • Terrible chemical odor

    Dec 19, 2014

    skhaimi  from Edmond, OK, Rating:1.0

This rug had the potential to be beautiful and I really liked its colors. I wanted so much to keep it. However, the chemical odor was overbearing and almost ruined my home. The odor is still stuck on the carpet where I had laid down this rug. I spent hours airing out my home and also another hour trying to wrap this heavy rug back up in order to have it returned. The representative I spoke with was not very understanding. He insisted that I needed to try a replacement first before they would refund me. I just can't imagine going thru this nightmare again. We still have our windows open and it's cold outside!!!

  • Nice, but the color is off

I have bought many rugs from overstock and this is the first time the color has been different from what's pictured. The rug is no where near a deep chocolate brown. It's more baby poop kaki/green/brown. I will keep it, because the weave seems decent, it's not horribly ugly and it seems like it would be a hassle to return, but I am a bit disappointed. Honestly when my husband was unwrapping it, I was like flip it over that much be the backside...nope same color on both sides. That said I got it for a great price and in that size range (and price point) there weren't many options for a flatweave.
