So I was nervous about ordering a big black outdoor rug, just because I feel like I usually go for the safe beige. But my outdoor furniture has a dark muted black metal with a stone top table and I was looking for something different. After it came and put it down........I love it!!!! It's so contemporary and adds a warm cozy-ness to my big deck. So don't be nervous take a chance!!!! Look rich too! I get lots of compliments on it.

The description says .625 in. thick, its not. Its as thin as an indoor/outdoor carpet. The field color is dark beige, not ivory or cream. This rug should be in a cabin or beach house, NOT a traditional dining room. If you're looking for a more formal rug, do NOT order this one, you'll be greatly disappointed. This rug is meant for an extremely casual lake house/cabin type environment. Website does not accurately describe this rug, very misleading. BEWARE!! I am returning this rug.

When I initially received this rug, I wrote a somewhat scathing, and perhaps unfair, review of the rug...interestingly it never appeared on the site. So, now I've had it a year and I guess I will say I am satisfied, although I don't think I would recommend this to a friend. First, the good. On my moniter the colors show up pretty accurately to real life. The blue is a sky blue, there is a lovely apple green, brown, and beige. This happens to be the basic color scheme for our basement den, so that and the design is what prompted me to buy. Now that it isn't shedding as badly, it looks very nice in the room. Also, initially we had problems with the rug b/c it wouldn't lay flat...it seems quite prone to creasing, well, with time that issue is now resolved. My original criticism remains, it looks fine (now that is is laying completely flat) but doesn't feel very soft or plush in my opinion. I just wasn't astute enough to pick it up, this rug, although wool, is not specified as New Zealand wool. Based on two rugs that I purchased from Overstock, the rug that had New Zealand wool in the description is extremely plush and soft. It not only looks but also feels like a high quality and expensive rug. This "Mayflower Sky" rug on the other hand, although it looks fine, is not nearly as soft nor as thick. I measure the pile height as 1/2". Bottom line: it's adequate for our basement application and for its price. However, I will make a point of looking for New Zealand wool in the future, and look at the pile height in the description more carefully as well.

I knew what I was getting, as I have been using these indoor/outdoor carpets for some years now & prefer them to wool.

I had searched in stores and on line for some time for a rug which would go in my new family room. Was pleased to finally find a rug with my required colors of dark brown and blue that also contained a lot of other bright colors to provide me with inspiration for other pieces as I continue to decorate this room. The price was certainly in the right range but wished it came in 9' x 12' based on my layout. Only potential concern is the "shedding" in traffic areas which seems to be occuring...as indicated I have had this occur with brand new rugs before and then this seems to stop...hoping this will be the case here as well. Oh, and the cat loves it as well...likes to sleep on it...after he claws it!! The rugs ability to stand up to this is not that great so would recommend you possibly reconsider if you have a cat who enjoys doing this. Mine will be spending his time outside of this room!

I ordered 2 of these rugs (8 round & 8 x 11) based on great reviews. After ordering I was apprehensive as I had neglected to check pile height and they are listed as .625 which is great except that I actually wanted something a little thinner. Trying to find just that right height between indoor/outdoor which is usually scratchy & too thin and rugs that are soft and plush. I was pleasantly surprised when I opened each of them and found them to be closer to .50 than .625. Enough plush and softness that I dont need extra padding. Delivery was practically overnight, as I received these rugs 4 days after placing order! Color is spot on with my computer monitor for both rugs which was also a nice surprise beige background with light brown diamonds and white rings.. Neutral contemporary look will give me lots of options to add color with accessories which is my decorating preference. My only neg is sizing. 8x11 is really 107 x 77 and 8 round is actually 79 and I really wanted those extra few inches but these sizes seem to be pretty common.

The area rug is very stylish and contemporary. It has nice colors even though the picture shows up more gray it's has more of a blue gray color. I really liked the rug so even though the color was a little off I am still going to keep it. As for the pile of the area rug it's thick and comfortable under the feet.

I needed a large flat weave rug that my dog would not be able to scratch & damage so I chose this indoor/outdoor carpet for my living room. The rug arrived as pictured -- it had one large tuft of fuzzy, frayed material which I cut off - the thought of repackaging this rug to send back when the not-too-large flaw would be under a chair wasn't worth it to me. If I had purchased it from a local store I would have taken it back for replacement. That said I like the rug - the colours and design are pleasing and the rest of the rug is in excellent shape. Therefore I recommend this product with some caution.

I bought this to provide a clear division btwn Living and Dining room. It is a beautiful pattern and the colors are great for my area. I see the orange but it is not as fully bright as in the picture. I plan to use this in my current home (southwestern lodge style) and then move it with me when I move to a more contemporary style. The pile is nice and thick and getting wool ,which is supposed to wear very well, for such a low price is a real bargain.

I have had this outdoor rug on our lanai in Naples FL since April. This has been one of the wettest rainy seasons on record and yet this rug has held up against moisture. It often gets a little rain on it when we forget to lower the lanai storm shade but so far it is mildew free. The design is tropical yet contemporary. The colors are neutral and go well with my more colorful lanai furniture. It's a good bargain. Thanks Overstock!

OMG! I am in love with this outdoor rug. Since there were no reviews, I took a chance on the color. It is just as pictured. It is an orange red color with tan swirls. The size was accurate. I can't comment on the durability since I just got it. Before using, I sprayed it with Scotchguard carpet protector. It is on my gray paver patio and the color just pops. I couldn't be happier.

I am not thrilled with this rug, but it's fine. The plusses - it's humongous and fills my large living room well. The pile of the rug is pretty good, it's nice and squishy underfoot. The minuses - the tan burlap-type backing on the rug stuck all over the top (black) part of the rug because of it being rolled up, making it look old and dirty. It will take several vacuums to get it clean. The color of the teardrops is also a lot more blue tone than grey. I really wanted grey, so it's not exactly what I'm looking for. Still, it's huge and heavy, and will be a pain to return, so I'm keeping it.

I was very pleased when my rug arrived right on time. I will say the color looks more green than grey to me, so I was kinda of bummed about that. I took it our of the wrapping and laid it out on my floor and noticed some small black markings on the corners of the rug. It almost looks like its been used or stepped on a few times. I was very surprised by this. Why does my rug has black spots on it????? Luckily I was able to hide them under my night stand, even though a few still show- a little disappointing.Too much trouble to send it back and get a new one. Just really surprised Overstock would send a product like that.
