I ordered a few different rugs from Overstock and this one was the winner!! A few important details to take note of however: 1.) This is NOT a "Fine Sisal Rug" as advertised; it is a wonderfully thick / nubby / chunky / soft Jute. 2.) The featured image is a 'stock photo' of what could be any jute rug, but def not the one that is shipped out. The actual rug is several shades darker than the light colored one in the picture. Actual color is deeper and more comparable to a rich walnut wood. 3.) The weave is also a tad looser, providing a soft indulgent walking surface! *Tightly woven natural-fiber rugs tend to be less plush. 4.) Additionally, the weave is not quite as uniform as the one pictured. The one you'll receive has a truly authentic hand-woven look with plenty of lovely variations and wonderfully nubby knotting. 5.) Lastly, the pile height is more than 1/4" as listed under Product Details. It varies throughout the rug from over 1/4" up to 3/4" providing a soft nubby foot massage every time you walk on it. *Please note: If you are looking specifically for the rug in the photo, order item # 14175477 - it is an exact match! We were shopping for a large (9x12) super-plush jute for a low foot traffic living room and this one is perfect. It really adds A LOT of warmth in both color and texture. I'm not sure I'd recommend this rug for a high foot traffic area due to it's loose weave. A high heel could easily snag this rug, or worse - someone could trip!! This rug would be much better suited to bare feet or snugly sock feet in a family room, bedroom or low traffic living room. Re: all the reviews commenting on dirt &/or smell, I simply overlooked since I am very familiar with natural fiber rugs and already knew what to expect. Given the natural material, you should expect a bit of dust to fall out of the rug initially, but this will not persist. I recommend simply rolling your rug back a few times within the first month to vacuum underneath. (You will notice the amount of dust lessening with each vacuuming.) As for smell, I didn't notice anything... at least nothing offensive. If there was a smelll initially, it quickly dissipated once out of the packaging. In a nutshell, if you are shopping for a jute rug then you already know the "look" that you are going for, so it's really just a matter of finding the right match since not all jute rugs are made the same. I ordered 3 different jute rugs attempting a good fit, so hopefully my comprehensive reviews will spare you the same leg work. Here are the rugs that I ordered and reviewed: Item # 12349082 / Item # 13672088 / Item # 14175477. Best of Luck!! :)

Just received product to replace our stairway runners. The color and style are great. The runner is much more comfortable than expected since other indoor/outdoor material can be quite scratchy to the touch. Hope it wears just as well as it looks!

I was amazed when the rug came, it was in a medium size box, so I'm thinking how does a 9' 10 x 12'9 going to look like when I take it out of this box. Well it was folded in half, then folded in half again, I'm thinking this rug is going back ASAP. My husband takes it out of the box, we lay it on our family room floor. Totally shocked ! It was extremely well made thick and plush, and looks fantastic in our family room. So needless to say, we're keeping it!!!

We got this rug as our dog is timid around stairs. We actually bought two - one at the top of the stairs, one at the bottom. The dog is afraid of going down the stairs, and the rug at the bottom is between the last stair and the wall, a mere 3 feet away. The dog can jump on the rug without problem; and without an extra backing, it does not move around too much. At the top of the stairs, the dog likes to run into the master bedroom. Mind you, there is not one inch of laid carpet in the house (wood or tile throughout). So far, the carpets seem durable, resistant to runs or tears (from dog claws), and hid dirt VERY well. The colors are bold but not offensive. the only downside was that they arrived with a bit of an odor. But after about 2-3 days of being out, the odor dissipated. I would happily purchase again, if not this dimension, at least from this manufacturer.

Indoor-outdoor rug. Flat weave is perfect for entry way. Easy to shake off or vacuum clean in minutes. I love the bold geometric design, too.,

Love this rug! I have had the rug for 4 days now and am so happy I purchased it. The colors are great, (they go well with my sage colored walls and neutral couch and chairs). It is more than 1/2 inch thick and plush, (you don't need a pad, I did use about 6-8 pieces of double sided carpet tape to keep it from tripped over)! The wool feels soft under your feet, not rough or scratchy. The 8 X 11 size was great for my hardwood floors and there is still around a 2 foot border in my living room. It is also great for people with a dog/pets. My dog is black and sheds a lot and it is hardly noticeable. After looking at probably 500-600 online over 3-4 days, I am glad I made this purchase!! Highly recommended to others.

The width is listed incorrectly at 2'4". It is actually 2'2" x 12'. Pretty pattern and solid weaving, but I could not get the rug to lay flat. Perhaps it was only the rug I received, but the rug had bumps from being rolled up during shipping along the entire length of the runner. The bumps were 1/4-1/2" high. I kept it out on our floor for a week and put suitcases on top to try to flatten, but in the end the bumps did not go down so I returned it.

I live in a rental and I am not a carpet person, but rather a wood/tile floor person. Of course majority of rentals have the cheap contractor grade carpet installed. The carpet was not terribly stained at all, but very worn out (contractor grade carpet is made primarily from recycled plastic bottles), well, this carpet is disintegrating. It fills up my vacuum cleaner every time I vacuum, a taupe color shiny powder. Anyhow, I couldn't do the wood floor thing since this is a rental, so I decided to get these jute rugs to cover the entire living room. The rugs are exactly as shown in the picture, great texture, the jute (not sisal as the description states), is beautiful mixture of neutral shades. It is knobby and very heavy! I had to fight to get them into the house. I did vacuum them with the brush roller after laying them down, but I don't recommend it regularly as you might make a "snag". I did not make a snag but it could. They did have some dirt like particles that fall out but nothing major...they are a natural fiber and these rugs were not woven in a sterile hospital like setting. They are about 3/4 to 1 inch thick, well made, very pretty. The color variations from the natural jute will hide any stains well, unless you spill something like a bottle of red wine. I had to lay two of the 9 x 12 side by side to cover the living room floor, you can barely see where the two rugs meet. I'm very pleased. I also purchased the 12 foot runner. If I remember, I will make a post after a few months. The cons...they are not comfortable to walk on barefoot.

It took a little love when I rolled it out. I had it laying flat in an open area in my bedroom with items weighting down the edges so it would uncurl. The pattern is super nice. It is contemporary and rustic all rolled into one. I put it under my king sized bed over hardwood floors in my log home. It definitely needs a rug pad for under it to preserve your floors. I ordered the smaller one to put in front of french doors for for a little extra floor coverage. You can't beat the price and I would say it is an accurate depiction in the photos.

Made my living room pop. It is indoor/outdoor but looks gorgeous indoors. The design is more beautiful in person. A traditional design with a very contemporary look.

Substantially thick area rug with a great contemporary pattern. Really livens up the room! Works well in a room decorated with natural earthy colors. The stated size was exact.

We've had the rug for over 2 weeks. The 9 x 12 size was perfect for our 17 x 20 screened sun room. The design and color are better than expected. The color is eye-catching, and as a unifying piece, has increased usage of the room. It's satisfying to see our family use the room routinely. I shopped many sites before purchasing from Overstock. No other vendor beat Overstock's price. The rug is sturdy enough for 4 seasons. It has raised the livability of our sun room and transformed it into a place we go to relax, read, and converse. I'd purchase this product again.

Awesome unique rug. Eyed it for months then took the plunge when sale on area rugs started. Bought 2 to go in a large living room. I have all contemporary white leather furniture and minimalist style. This rug was perfect to tie it all together. The white strips pick up the white furniture. The grey strips cool down the room as a neutral backdrop. The neutral natural binding on 2 ends and interspersed throughout the rug picks up wall neutral color. I've gotten so many compliments on how chic and expensive it looks. It didn't look like much folded up out of the packing but I tried it anyways and it reads fabulous in the room. Give it a chance for unique high style. Haven't vacuumed yet but will probably not use brush. 4 dogs and it has stood the test so far after couple if months. I love it!

After six months, the rug still looks brand new. It not only looks great in the entryway, but is also of notable quality.

I was looking for a rug for my entry space with a geometric pattern in a neutral color. This rug, while being for outdoor use, works great. It lays flat and allows the door to open over it easily and adds interest to the entry space. The color anthracite really looks grey, as I hoped it would. Can't beat it for the price.

I love how durable this rug and the look of the rug. I would recommend a rug pad as the non skid backing is still slippery on hardwoods.

This is a gorgeous, well-made contemporary rug. I ordered the wrong size for my room and easily returned it and exchanged it for the same rug in a larger size. I love this rug and get lots of compliments on it. I was looking for a rug that was easy to clean for my kitchen and the indoor/outdoor construction definitely makes this rug easy to clean. A great find!

great durable rug for high traffic areas. Is an indoor outdoor so may need a pad if you desire, but i did not need one to place over hard wood floors. Color is black and beige as shown. Love the print and you cannot beat the value!

This rug delivered quickly and was packaged in a neat roll. It is a little thinner than I anticipated; however, I put a thick rug pad under it. Overall, the design is as expected. The color is a true ivory color throughout. From the photo online, I anticipated ivory/white, but both the impressions and the raised area are the same ivory color.

This rug (mat really) is very nice. It's like a large needlepoint print. It's clean, contemporary and great for those with animals. It does not shed at all because there is no "pile" really, as it is tightly woven. It's thin but it stays put on my hardwood floors.Like another said, the color, at least the background color, is not yellowish or gold, but beige. It is the color of the thumbnails of the detail. Weird that it changes like that. I'm glad with the color though, it is beige, muted terracotta, and a darker off-white that matches my room nicely. I would have liked it to be more "fluffy" but maybe with a pad it will at lease look fuller. But, the feel on bare feet will still be rough because of the weave. This is more like a sisal rug. I would have liked it much better if it had the lighter color as another border because I don't like the way the design seems to just cut off. It would have made a 4 star in appearance if it had that.
