I looked at all the natural fiber rugs on Overstock for several weeks before buying this one, and I am very happy with this purchase. It's in our main living room/family room and the very natural, almost honey brown color warms up the room (wood floors, leather furniture). We've had it a few weeks now and I can say that It's also very durable (children and 100 pound dog in the house). Although it's not "soft" it's not uncomfortable, either. We don't mind at all going barefoot on it. We've vaccumed it and wiped up a couple of spills, which left no stains or pulling or shedding of the fibers. One high traffic corner curls up a very little bit - we're still trying to figure out how to fix that. Also, it arrived 2 days after I placed the order - and packaged very well - loved that!

After reading many of the reviews on this product, especially the ones about how stains can easily be removed, I decided to purchase it. The 9 ft x 13 ft area rug is massive and will truly give you a workout placing it in a room. I opted to put it in my bedroom because I like the idea of a natural fiber rug in a place where you spend a good portion of your time. Also, I have three dogs and thought purchasing a natural fiber rug for them to lay on would be beneficial for them as well. Most of the reviews stated that removing stains was very simple. One week after my purchase one of my dogs vomited yellow bile in three places on the rug. Since 2:00 a.m. is not my best time of day, I frantically tried vinegar and water to clean up the vomit. I did my best and went back to bed. Later in the morning I tried several natural products to remove the bile stains. After many tears I've come to the realization they will not come up. If you purchase this rug, do not place it in a room where your loving pets reside. You will truly regret it.

I have had the rug for approximately 2 weeks. It is very nice. It is NOT 8 x 10, but rather 7-1/2 x 9-1/2. It is thick, and has a knobby feel when you walk on it. Colors and texture are as shown in the Overstock website pictures. As mentioned in other reviews, there was a damp odor when it was first opened and laid out. Nothing bad, but it was certainly noticeable. This odor dissipated, however, within a week or so. The rug I received does not seem to be cut/made in an exact rectangle, in that one corner doesn't extend as far out as the other side. This is slight (maybe a couple of inches), and could be an anomoly, as I haven't seen any other reviews that mentioned this. I have not noticed any 'dirt' coming out of it yet. Overall, I am happy with this rug, and would recommend/order again.

Great Rug. Accurate depiction of product online. I love the graphic nature of the piece... I use it as an indoor rug. It handles general foot traffic and dirt very well.

This is a great rug, especially given the size and cost. I put it in our living room directly over hardwood floors (tired of teenagers spilling on my wool rug) and it looks great. The pattern is great-- interesting, but subdued. It is tightly woven and could pass for a natural fiber-- I don't think anyone would guess it was an indoor/outdoor rug unless I said something. I love it because I can sweep it, and spills and spots easily wipe up-- and of course I can vacuum it. I do have smaller versions of this same rug that I hosed off last summer in the back yard with great success, so am assuming I can do the same with this one. As with any new, rolled rug, it arrived with a "factory" smell and ridges from the rolling. The smell dissipated within 24 hours, and the ridges are gradually relaxing. I expect the ridges to fully relax within a week or two, as was my experience with the 3 other rugs I purchased in this pattern.

I did a lot of looking around and research into Sisal, Seagrass, and Jute before ultimately settling on this one. Though Sisal and Seagrass are mentioned, I believe it is Seagrass which is less expensive than Sisal. I do not believe you will find a better price for the size. The 9x12 covers a big area in my living room and makes a very nice accent. Yes, there will be imperfections in the weave and you may find some of the weave loose but as long as you are not abusing the rug, i.e vacuuming, pulling furniture across it, or letting your pets roam free it should be fine. If you are looking for a natural fiber rug, and are using it in a non high traffic area, my belief is that the rug will hold up nicely. There are gradations in the color but it is a natural tone and will go well with many different color schemes. We don't walk through our living room and we don't wear shoes when in there so this rug is a good choice. We also do not allow pets in that room because chewing would be an issue. I did not choose Jute because from everything I read, they fall apart easier. Yes, this rug is rough underfoot but really not nearly as bad as some reviews make out. I do not happen to have sensitive feet so it really doesn't bother me. Also, I am not standing on it for more than a few minutes or seconds. If roughness bothers you, this may not be the rug for you if you will be walking on it barefoot. A lot of the satisfaction is putting it in the right area of your home. The texture offers an interesting visual effect that I find complimentary. Lastly, shipping is free, the price very reasonable and it was delivered in a few days. The Fedex guy even helped bring it inside for us.

I had never had a sisal rug before this, but I was drawn to the natural look, so I went for it. So glad I did!! Love this rug...it is exactly what I was looking for. If you haven't ever had a natural fiber rug, you will want to know that they do shed a little bit (but will get better as time goes by) and there are little pieces of wood woven into it that you want to pull out when you find them. This rug is also a lot softer than I expected from this type of style...very impressed!

This is a pretty rug. Love the color. Coloring was mixture of light and dark fibers. Beware though, there are pieces of hard grass and small sticks sewn into the rug in somes places (not entire rug) that are sharp when you step on barefoot. I know it's a natural fiber rug, but sticks are little to natural for my liking or my feets liking. Having said that, we are not returning the rug probably because of the hassle of return shipping and it was a great buy. Get what you pay for...

I ordered 2 of these rugs (8 round & 8 x 11) based on great reviews. After ordering I was apprehensive as I had neglected to check pile height and they are listed as .625 which is great except that I actually wanted something a little thinner. Trying to find just that right height between indoor/outdoor which is usually scratchy & too thin and rugs that are soft and plush. I was pleasantly surprised when I opened each of them and found them to be closer to .50 than .625. Enough plush and softness that I dont need extra padding. Delivery was practically overnight, as I received these rugs 4 days after placing order! Color is spot on with my computer monitor for both rugs which was also a nice surprise beige background with light brown diamonds and white rings.. Neutral contemporary look will give me lots of options to add color with accessories which is my decorating preference. My only neg is sizing. 8x11 is really 107 x 77 and 8 round is actually 79 and I really wanted those extra few inches but these sizes seem to be pretty common.

This rug is excellent value for money. There's no mistaking it for a natural fiber rug, but it doesn't shed, has vibrant color, and a lively pattern. The low pile works under my dining table, but it's still soft on bare feet. My quality rating reflects my inability to give any synthetic rug an 'excellent' rating for quality, so if you don't have the same problem, consider it Excellent in all ways. We are very pleased with it.

I purchased the Natural Fiber rug with the Beige border. I read the reviews that the rug color was exactly as pictured, so, I thought the Beige one was going to be perfect for my decor. However, when I received the rug, it was much more orangey than I expected. I think the color matches the the one with the chocolate border pictured in the ad and if you don't mind an orangey color then it would be fine. The price is great, It is just not beige like the other two examples in the photo.

We've had the rug for over 2 weeks. The 9 x 12 size was perfect for our 17 x 20 screened sun room. The design and color are better than expected. The color is eye-catching, and as a unifying piece, has increased usage of the room. It's satisfying to see our family use the room routinely. I shopped many sites before purchasing from Overstock. No other vendor beat Overstock's price. The rug is sturdy enough for 4 seasons. It has raised the livability of our sun room and transformed it into a place we go to relax, read, and converse. I'd purchase this product again.

The rug is all I hoped it would be so far. I have given four stars because we haven't had it long enough to see how it will hold up. I prefer to have a natural fiber rug in my home and wool is my first choice. This rug is thick and plush. I am sensitive to smelly dyes and fumes and this rug had neither. I noticed it is out of stock, but if it comes back, I would highly recommend purchasing this rug.

Wanted a large outdoor rug to go on my upper deck. Overstock had the best selection (seeing that I wanted it in a french blue color) and the best prices. It looks great, have already gotten many compliments.

I was presently surprised at how cushiony it felt especially after some negative reviews about knots etc. in the rug. Since it is a natural fiber, of curse, there must be a way to attach ends; therefore, there are knots. But nothing so significant as to "hurt" ones feet!!! The tassels already lay flat from shipping and because of the size 6 X 9, I don't think there will be slippage but I put a rubber rug liner underneath anyway. I love the look for our beach cottage--the sand will just fall through to the bottom!

we love this rug. perfect for our t.v. room with big sectional couch. we put a smaller wool rug on top of this which adds a layer of color and interest. I read that others objected to the smell of this natural fiber. I found the smell to be one of freshly-cut hay, not at all objectionable from my vermont past: pleasing, clean, natural. this is a great way to warm up a big room - I got the 9 x 12 size - at modest expense. very happy.

If you are looking for a thin, natural fiber rug of excellent quality, look no further. This is a beautiful statement piece that could easily handle any high foot-traffic area of the home. With the nature of this material (and the fact that it's hand-woven) you can typically expect imperfections, but this one is surprisingly near flawless with an impressive tight weave. The trade-off is that it is not at all cozy, and a bit rough underfoot. It's important to know this before ordering because not all jute rugs are woven the same. This particular rug is very comparable to either a Seagrass rug or a Sisal rug, in both texture and style.. (ie: rough but durable with a consistent weave pattern). I also like how this rug offers an extra inch from the standard 9x12. However, if you are looking for a thicker, but still tightly woven jute rug with a softer touch, try item # 14175477. If you are looking for a downright luxurious jute rug, and can appreciate the natural characteristics of a softly woven natural fiber rug, try item # 12349082. Hope this review helps in your search :)

This rug is exactly the style I was looking for. The quality of the rug is not excellent but for the price I would say it is a very good value. It is in my dining room and when chairs are moved across it, it sometimes creates pulls in the fabric.

Like many other reviewers, I agonized over which rug to buy from which vendor. Never had jute but sisal has held up well for me and I almost bought another but decided on this rug instead. It is not sisal... It is a thick, well braided, soft , great rug made of Jute. My husband had received it earlier in the day and it was in my family room when I got home. What a great looking rug. I cannot believe I paid just under $300 for it with free shipping. No odors, no shedding and the shades of natural fibers are high end. Do not hesitate to get this rug.
