(6' Round) Hand-tufted Blue Stripe Wool Rug

I love the rug. It worked out perfect for where I was planning on putting it. It is a great value in my opinion. I can say that the center stripe is not as blue as I thought it was going to be, it is more of a blueish gray. One of the reviews I read on the rug had mentioned that it had an odor, in my case this was true also.

my only complaint is the sharpness of the color separations---the picture led me to believe it was more blended but other than that, its a beauty

Based on the other reviews I was prepared for the color to be completely different from how it appears on-screen, so I was glad to have read them. It's true that it's not as vibrant, and there are more gray-ish blues than warm aqua blues. The quality of the product looks better in person than in it's photo. The uneven lighting in the photo creates the appearance of extra stripes, which are actually just shadows from uneven pile. The rug doesn't really look like that- mine is smooth, with nice solid color breaks. I have not had any problems with shedding, as other people have complained about.

Right out of the bag, the rug had a very strong smell. I had to keep the fan running and the door open to my son's room for a week. Then, I noticed the balling and shedding. We had to get the Dyson out almost every day. The clumps are all over his room. Because he was away, we had the rug for over a month before we realized the problem. If the shipping back would not have been so high and the timeframe so long, I would have returned it. I do like the colors and shape. I have many wool rugs and this one is not anywhere the quality of the others.
