I already had this rug in an 8x10 size but wanted it to be a bit larger. I butted the 5x8 against it and it is a perfect match. Cannot see the seam at all. I thought I would need to use carpet tape to join the two, but have found it unnecessary at this point. It definitely has helped the space look more finished.

I was searching for a cream area rug and was interested in this because of it's stain resistant quality (based on reviews), style, and comfort. I must have read almost 200 reviews and couldn't find a consistent color description, so here it is: cream or light tan and white tweed with light brown taupe swirls. This rug is so versatile, comfortable, and neutral that it should go with any decor. Although it isn't a perfect cream, it is not dirty looking as some described it. It would go well with cream or beige. I was delighted that the swirls perfectly matched my wall color. I only wish I'd bought the 8x10 instead of the 6x9, but I can use the 6x9 under my dining room table and order another one for the living room. A great bargain for the price. It came well packaged and rolled out smooth. I put books on one corner for a day and it lays flat now. I wish I could attach a picture, but I hope this is helpful, esp. regarding the color.

I needed a 5x8 rug to put in a small space with 2 club chairs. It was perfect. Yes, it is 2 different colors, yes it is very shaggy, and YES, it does smell horrible. I had to leave windows open for a few days and used carpet freshner on it. I don't smell it anymore. If you are going to do so 8x10, get a good rug pad and it will be super cozy. But, beware, if you lay on it, your clothes will get that smell. My cat loves to lay on it, and when he does, I smell the carpet chemical odor. It is starting to dissapear, but it has been a few weeks. Overall, once the smell goes away, I would recommend this rug.

I got this rug more for the hard to find 6x9 size, which used to be a standard size, but in today's market seems now to be 5X8 as the standard. It came today and the color and texture are good, but not great. Then again, I wasn't expecting great for the price, and it will serve its purpose well. Homegoods had a similar rug in the 5X8 size more reasonably priced for like quality, but like I said, its the size that drove my purchase and is needed for the bedroom so I am keeping. I would definitely order a better quality rug if using in the living area.

I received this 5x8 rug quickly - I was very happy when I opened it up and checked both sides - front and back. It is very sturdy and well made with a nice backing and finished edge- I did use a non skid under it to keep from moving. The color is a dark brown with a slightly lighter, subtle brown weave which may not show up in the picture, but I liked it immediately. The flowers are somewhat raised and the colors are so pretty with almost a whimsical design. I put the rug in my dining room under the table- it goes well with all the other colors and furniture and with the pretty flower design, it really makes the room appealing. I am so pleased with this rug, and do not think I could have found such a unique, well made item locally.

After reading mostly rave reviews, I ordered this rug to replace an aging, 5X8 threadbare wool oriental I bought used 15 years ago and which has had lots of heavy traffic. Although 6X9 is larger, it actually made the dining room look larger, and sets off the hardwood flooring, antique round oak table and oak press back dining chairs, plus surrounding antique furniture in our log home. Because the price of the rug was considerably less than other sources, I invested in a superior quality rug pad from Overstock. Well, the rug is very thick, and so is the rug pad, making it too high and a risk for tripping. Who would have thought today's products would be too thick, too plush, too nice, especially for the price? So, I switched a thinner pad from elsewhere and put the nice thick pad under the other rug, and now both rugs are plush, comfortable and padded. This Heritage rug is truly thick, plush and tightly woven, with beautiful colors and yes, no fringe to get scrungy or shredded by the vacuum cleaner. Colors are always a matter of personal taste and environment, and for us, these colors worked very well, better than what we had, and a better compliment to an existing nearby rug. Now I am looking at a matching runner to bridge the space between the rugs. We also bought the Sultan dining chair pads and they go extremely well with this particular rug. Everything came quickly, in good condition and I became an overnight Overstock.com fan!

I bought this rug along with a matching 2x8' runner. There were significant color differences between the 6x9' and the runner version. While the design of both was clearly the same, the dye lots of the wool used to make them were very different. The larger rug appeared much more muted in color than you would assume from the online photo (e.g., in the larger rug, the lightest colors was a khacki beige while in the runner the corresponding design elements were a much different light yellow) While I'm not expert in oriental type rugs, the tightness of the design seemed "tighter" and more precise in the runner than in the larger rug. Since my plan was for these to be adjacent to each other, I decided to return both. If I had bought just one, I probably wouldn't have face the problems that I did and may have just kept the one. Heads up though - there does seem to be differences in dye lots with this rug and how closely the colors match up to the online photos might be an issue.

Such a pretty rug! I have the 5x8 in navy, and it's much higher quality than I expected--it's at least an inch thick, and the trellis pattern is raised even a bit higher, which is very nice underfoot (feels a bit like a massage!). It's a solid wool rug--very heavy, substantial-feeling, nicer than what I've seen at the box stores or Ikea. I recently moved and have this in my new home office. It just ties the room together beautifully, and looks sharp without being distracting. An element you can't see in the photo is that because it's wool, the color is flecked just a tiny bit in the way 100% wool is, so it does in fact have a kind of country feel rather than a very minimal, clean feel--but I love the cottage/country look and am not so much a fan of clean and modern, so I was pleasantly surprised by that! Still, as in the photo, I think it could work in a modern setting, and would just give a nice bit of texture. I haven't bought from Overstock before but almost certainly will again given this experience. I wouldn't call this rug a bargain at the price, but for the quality I'm happy to pay it. I also ordered this over the weekend and it did arrive quickly, within a few days. No trouble with delivery or appearance when it arrived at all--I was able to roll it out and put it down right away. I have it on top of wall-to-wall carpet so don't need a rug pad, but it's thick and heavy enough that I don't know if I'd go to the trouble to use one on a wood floor either, particularly if it was anchored anywhere by furniture.
