This is a quality rug, which makes it a steal for the price! It stands up very well to the traffic of my two large dogs. It's also very stain resistant. The one negative is that it's not a soft rug, but that's the nature of a seagrass rug. Despite not being soft, it's very comfortable to walk on.

I had been test driving a smaller seagrass rug by my main door for a couple of months to see how this natural fiber rug would hold up...granted it was Pottery Barn, but its held up great with no stains or shedding. We decided to take the leap on this rug because for the price (under $100) it was going in the dining room, under the table with little traffic. Even if it wasn't great, it wasn't going to get trashed easily and still looked good. Happily surprised by the quality of this rug and would have no problems moving it to a more used room! We went with seagrass because it is the sturdiest and least resistant to stains in the natural rug family; we've had jute that looked nice, but colored juice does not come out! Pros - Durable, looks great, no shedding. Cons - Seagrass is not soft! Not a great rug to play on or roll around on! Also the end weave on mine by the border didn't line up with the border, so on one side they are even and parallel, and then it slowly gets progressively uneven by about an inch...think of a it as picture that is a little crooked in the frame. This issue was still not a big enough one for us to return it and overall it looks great for what our purposes were...a nice looking rug that is not prone to stains, under a dining table.

This was purchased for another room and was ordered in the wrong size. It was so nice, we ended up using it under our casual dining area. It is tough, stain resistant, yet still very attractive for this kind of use. Highly recommend it for high traffic and casual rooms.

I needed a replacement of this type of rug for my kitchen. This one is a bit more rough than my last one, so walking with bare feet takes some getting used to. But I ordered this one due to one reviewer how stain resistant it was. I have not had anything spill yet, so I cannot speak to that at this point. The rug does have a smell (which I expected as the material is known for that) but it does dissipate after a while. I am quite happy with this purchase.

We ended up putting it down in the kitchen and really like it. It's sturdy, pretty soft on the feet for an indoor/outdoor rug and stain resistant so far.

I never thought I'd buy a sisal rug but I couldn't resist this one. It was the perfect neutral choice for my dining nook in my smallish condo, where I needed something that wouldn't fight with my living room rug, which is a taupe-ish gray. I had it for about a month before I was able to put it down and I was thrilled with how perfect it is. The only negative is that sisal is apparently not that easy to care for, but I found a spray-on protectant on a rug site that I purchased and used. I'm sure my cat will throw up on it at some point, hopefully it won't stain, but I think it's worth the risk. I first saw this rug on another site for twice the price so was very happy to find it at Overstock. I read a lot of reviews about the color and I agree that the two closeups give a pretty accurate rendition. I don't think it's really a cool color though, which is great because I liked the warm gold tones in the rug. It looks perfect in my space.

I am a designer in NYC. ive seen everything, This was the cornerstone of my living area the moment i saw it. i did not hesitate . i was hoping it would be bright as shown, and it is. very modern, very happy. even with rustic flourishes and glam. All works. AND i received it in 2 days!!! the rug is well made hide hair on. very durable and naturally resists stains as all hide rugs do. use a rug pad even though a felt backing. get one!!!

I purchased this area rug for my daughters' new kitchen. She has wood floors throughout the kitchen and has two boys, 2 1/2 and 6 months so things are always being spilled. It gave the wood floors a pop of color and is so durable and stain resistant that I can hardly believe it. Perfect for our needs but I would not hesitate to use it on an outdoor area as well.

Just wrote a review full of praise but unfortunately the website glitched and didn't save it. Not going to the effort again, but suffice it to say this: nontoxic wool for comparable price to rugs composed of man-made materials and much prettier and more expensive looking than anything polypropylene or nylon! Healthier for kids (no off-gassing, etc.) and naturally stain/absorbent-resisting. Love it! Buy as large of size as you can - you won't regret it!
While they can last for many years, wool area rugs need to be taken care of properly in order for you to protect your investment. Improper care can lead to excessive shedding, fading, and wear; these are not signs that the rug is defective, but indications that the rug has not been treated with care. With the proper cleaning products and a little time, you can keep your wool area rugs looking great. Cleaning Wool Rugs: Never use a vacuum with a beater bar. All wool rugs shed, but a beater bar will cause excessive shedding and abrasions to your rug. Read More
